Okay, the website was down once again earlier (sorry, it happens on the first day it seems) but it is now back up again. Regardless, we now have some externally hosted download packs to refer to should the site go down again and you need your fix. Click here for just the ROMs and if you want the media included, click this - password is bui1dTh3W@11! Here is the stream lineup for Tuesday: 4pm GMT / 11am EST / 8am PST - Spanner 7pm GMT / 2pm EST / 11am PST - redhotsonic 9pm GMT / 4pm EST / 1pm PST - MegaGWolf (please note - first hour overlaps redhotsonic's last hour) 12am GMT / 7pm EST / 4pm PST - SomecallmeJohnny 6am GMT / 1am EST / 10pm PST - The Geek Critique (early Wednesday morning for most people)
For those asking about editing chunks, we would prefer you to use the original chunks, as we feel that SBZ has everything you need, but if you absolutely NEED to add a new chunk, feel free. Sorry for any confusion caused. But yeah, keep to the original stuff first and only add a new chunk if it is really required to fix your layout up.
I was watching SomecallmeJohnny's stream of the day 1 coverage and he mentioned that hes still blocked in Pending Limbo on the forums here. Wait, what? this still isn't resolved? Unless he did real bad during the trial period shouldn't he have been passed by now?! Just makes us look bad if we still have 1 of the best gameplay reviewers and sonic fan in Pending Limbo. :\
Here is our stream lineup for Wednesday: 6am GMT / 1am EST / 10pm PST - The Geek Critique 7pm GMT / 2pm EST / 11am PST - redhotsonic 9pm GMT / 4pm EST / 1pm PST - MegaGWolf (please note - first hour overlaps redhotsonic's last hour) 12am GMT / 7pm EST / 4pm PST - SomecallmeJohnny 3am GMT / 10pm EST / 7pm PST - Neo Hazard
Sorry for double post, we have to address some things.
For what it's worth, I didn't even know this. Maybe if he'd actually spoken to the staff about it we could have actually done something... Congrats, Johnny! Enjoy your 20 new posts. I'm sure that this time you'll breeze through now you're out of the noob stage. =P
I have to say, I can see now why the null vote entry was added. Compared to last year's contest this is awful. + - /iSpoiler] EDIT: okay, that iSpoiler was a total fail. I don't have a chance on ASM if I can't get iSpoiler working...
Oh, no, I didn't use them. This forum randomly changes my font size without me knowing it until I hit the post button.
I wanted to post a comment on this but for some reason I can't log in with either my Sonic Retro forums account nor my SSRG forums account O_o
I didn't bring mention to it because I was just comfortable lurking for the longest time, to be honest. Plus, I didn't want to be a bother. But thanks for the consideration guys, I'll try to be a little mature this time. :P Ah damn it, I used an emote.
Here is our stream lineup for Thursday: 4pm GMT / 11am EST / 8am PST - Spanner 7pm GMT / 2pm EST / 11am PST - redhotsonic 9pm GMT / 4pm EST / 1pm PST - MegaGWolf (please note - first hour overlaps redhotsonic's last hour) 12am GMT / 7pm EST / 4pm PST - SomecallmeJohnny 6am GMT / 1am EST / 10pm PST - The Geek Critique
And here's today's streams for Friday. 4pm GMT / 11am EST / 8am PST - Spanner 7pm GMT / 2pm EST / 11am PST - redhotsonic 9pm GMT / 4pm EST / 1pm PST - MegaGWolf (please note - first hour overlaps redhotsonic's last hour) 12am GMT / 7pm EST / 4pm PST - SomecallmeJohnny As a reminder today is also the last day to get in your entries for the SBZ1 layout contest. Entries close at 6am GMT / midnight EST / 9 PM Pacific, so there is still plenty of time to get something completed.
I've played through everything and well... I feel the same sentiment towards 99% of this year's hacks as I do about this: This must secretly be a joke directed at the hacks submitted because it looks like a 3 year old did it in crayon... just as the hacks look. Knuckles' Emerald Hunt for Hidden Palace Trophy... and maybe Eggmanland can have the Wood Zone Trophy. The NULL VOTE can take the Dust Hill home because there's obviously a reason why a null vote option was implemented this year in regard to most of the trophies. Another year full of hacks rushed into a demo release just to show off at the contest with the high hopes of snagging a trophy they don't deserve. If you're going to bother creating a hack, hone your skills and complete one. Don't rush and slap a turd on the table that you will never polish. You're new to hacking and still learning? Well I've had enough of the same Sonic 1 hacks with the same zones that just get a palette and level layout edit with your names slapped in the credits, then expecting a trophy for it. Knuckles' Emerald Hunt is the ONLY complete AND polished hack and even though it was in last year's contest, it was still finished and put together properly. NULL VOTE is this year's most decorated winner.
