The Perfect Chaos fight and Crisis City look balls-to-the-wall awesome. This is just what I needed to get hyped for this game again.

This would've definitely been a bad idea, especially seeing as how short the final section is. You would barely get to hear it.

That's actually a remix of the Data Select theme from Sonic 3.

 

I heard the file select theme from Sonic 3 and Knuckles while the guy had the movie selection menu open! :D

That slowed-down version is actually much more reminiscent of the museum music from Sonic Jam, but it was a remix of data select, anyway.

 

It's the Data Select when he's in the chair, but when he gets up it seems to play "Door Into Summer"?

 

Yes that is what happens, I suppose the other various options you can select all play different tunes when you're looking through them.

 

Doorway into Summer plays when you aren't in a menu in that little collection room. Sonic 3 Data Select plays when you are in a menu

 

I hope the characters don't talk as much in most of the missions, really annoying to hear Amy every 2 seconds, marring an otherwise great soundtrack. The character levels look like fun diversions though, even if they're a bit gimmicky.

 

I am so fucking excited for Tuesday.

This game is just one big ass labor of love.

 

It really looks great, even the side missions look fun. Like, annoying voice acting aside, it's nice to see actual effort being put into the challenge levels, with the changes to level geometry, remixes, and more.

 

Did I seriously just hear Balloon Park playing during that Chemical Plant Zone mission? Holy shit SEGA, thank you. I couldn't stop smiling like an idiot listening to it. So much nostalgia.

If I hear Chrome Gadget somewhere in this game I'm going to cry manly tears.

 

I'm so glad I'm not spoiling any of this shit for myself.

It'll be a hell of a lot better when I notice them while playing.

 

Did anyone see how he almost played Rooftop Run, and then decided to play Crisis City instead?

That's not even sarcastic, I love the platforming.

 

God damn, that Chaos battle looked oh so good! I take back the whole super sonic thing. I was just worried about the challenge being non-existant, but now, the process of you getting to him just blows that away =)

 

Everything looks pretty good to me, but has anyone noticed how easy it is to get an S rank? Where's the challenge?
