Sonic Generations Megathread

Assuming that the demo will be here soon-ish, here's a question to ask:

what's the eta on how long it'll take for the entirity of the thing to be opened and searched through entirely?

I'll help clarify the time for some.

Whenever I waited in the night for something to come out on Xbox Live (did so for Resident Evil 5: Lost in Nightmares and Desperate Escape, Alan Wake: The Signal and The Writer, Sonic 4: Episode 1, and a few others) it every time came on the marketplace around 2 AM-3 AM Pacific Time, and every time it was available on Xbox.com before it was viewable on the console, AND if you went to the game's info page and for downloads choose, "Newest," it will be there first before other places on the 360 (such as the newest demos page).

Sonic Generations doesn't have an info page yet, or if it does, nobody knows the URL as every game has a unique code you need to know to access its info page where you find downloads and what not

When it comes to US, just change the ja-JP to en-US in the url to access the US store instead.

Tomorrow, I celebrate Sonic's birthday the right way. Not with digging around in hex editors and looking for unused textures, but by playing the games which made me a fan of the series, along with the latest installment.

 

Eh, imma wait 'till tomorrow morning to see if the thing's up for the Xbox 360. Knowing my luck my 1-month Gold membership runs out tomorrow, so imma more likely going to end up going with the PS3 one.

When it comes out, I won't be able to dig into it like 75% of you guys probably could, but I'm gonna at least explore what I can and see what I can learn from playing the game. Hey, maybe we'll find something special.

......Also, I just remembered something: Back with the vidjas of the game being played, there was an act select screen with "act 1", "act 2", and "boss" on it. Do you think......

......do you think that we might see a boss fight for this? If so, then would that end up being a perfect surprise for us. :v:

 

I think that was the 3DS version, don't remember seeing that for the consoles.

Only have a PS3 so im gonna have to wait awhile for it to show up for me unlike you 360 users, but im greatly looking forward to playing this game.

Just catching up on the news that Generations is looking to be released on PC - HELL YES! I game mainly on PC, so this saves me an extreme amount of despair!

I kid, I kid, I'll be looking forward to the livestreams tomorrow, and the possible backlash if the game turns out to be bad, though it doesn't seem very likely considering the guys who attended E3 and Sonic Boom didn't find many problems with it, besides the rolling nerf.

Listen, I know people like let's plays, but mind doing one without commentary? Nothing personal, but I sometimes can't stand hearing the commentary when I just want to watch gameplay.

 

You can always count on my high quality videos filled with absolutely no commentary.
