I was happy when I read the review on IGN, but the video...that dude sounds like a bit of a douche...or maybe I'm wrong. I dunno. He kind of sounded like one. I do gotta say though, clever little joke with the Super Sonic theme, but it's still okay. Still somewhat disappointed with For True Story though. Oh well.

 

OH WOW!!!! I know this has been said plenty but... the super sonic remix... Sega your sense of humor... I laughed so hard... that intro and then...

I can't read like half this thread because it's all spoilers and I don't want those!

But anyway I just started listening to Rooftop Run Classic and HOLY FUCK this is easily my favorite song in this whole goddamn soundtrack. I shall loop this on my iPod constantly until November 4.

The cape makes him look kind of like a walrus, the cape part being the tusks. I figured it was a reference to the Beatles song but I've never read any formal confirmation.

 

Ok, regarding the naming of a certain evil villain...

To be fair, he did just meet "Eggman." And Tails did show he was called "Robotnik." Based on this, he could be saying by "not being called that anymore" he's realizing he's truly a past form, with "Eggman" being the "true" one of them, and just accepting the modern name as more proper. He also took a liking to it, so I'm not trying to fan the flames of the naming war, I'm just pointing out that there's certainly precedent that through Sonics 1-Jam, he may very well be officially called "Robotnik." Also, putting all this over complicated bullshit a side, that was a damn fine thing you did there anyway Sega. Good joke and well played.

I'm watching that playthrough. The poor guy must have never played Unleashed or Colours. I did laugh when he managed to get the rail in Chemical Plant when the IGN guy didn't and fell to the bottomless pit.

Well this is surprising! a new topic. Don't see why the old topic couldn't have kept going but hey whatever floats...

So going back from a post I made in the previous thread, theres really no orchestral final boss track? its really odd but then again theres no main vocal theme to this game so thus no orchestral track mix to make. shame I really wanted to hear it too.

Is that soundtrack rip Hinchy is passing around 100% complete? or are tracks still being ripped?...

Dammit, I need to see the Silver battle now. Who knows, if we saw the return of powerups in the Shadow race (albeit the powerup wasn't exactly from SA2), maybe the gems will appear in Silver's race (with different effects).

Also, this proves my assumption that the boost itself deals the damage, not Sonic's body. Because then Sonic's nose would be right up in an uncomfortable position for the both of them, and that's no good~
