If I am right, then it's probably already been mentioned: is there a Ristar sound sample in Stardust Speedway?
Just noticed on the CD on the collector's edition. The case it comes in, with the track list? Where it says the artist for "Quick Trip To Paradise", it says "Jun Senoue & Lee Brothehrton". Don't think the h is supposed to be there, I checked the wiki cause I was skeptical haha.
So, Casino Night is in the PC version. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6fIqitD2Vz8 I REALLY don't know why is it working, might have something to do with the version I'm using being cracked. *EDIT: Also, this is no evidence of DLC being supported afterwards, Resident Evil 5 PC is a good example of that as the Versus DLC was inside the PC files but locked and Capcom never released the unlock code for it, paid or otherwise, it required people to hack into the game to unlock it. They never released any of the other DLC either *EDIT*
ok seriously is it just me or is the final boss... Spoiler Fuck Me in the Ass Zone Act II: Double Penetration Time!? Like wtf am I supposed to do. I honestly can't tell how I'm getting closer to him it seems like half the time spamming boost works but the other half it doesn't. I mean, I beat him already but now I'm trying to get S-Rank. Even more frustrating the first time I was ONLY able to hit him as Classic Sonic but now I'm only able to hit him as Modern Sonic... and even then after I hit him twice I can never seem to hit him again! Using the launch attack with the other Sonic also looks absolutely useless, its looks like it only use is to destroy the debris in the air. And is it impossible to "dodge" the time slow down attack? Arrrgh! This final boss battle is so frustrating! It's like, a huge turd filled crack in the most brilliant diamond in the world! Holy fuck do I hate this
Doesn't mean much, there are a lot of Steamworks games that include a DLC tab but have no DLC released for them. I am not saying I don't want DLC or anything, I'm just saying don't get your hopes up for DLC being officially released on PC.
Wouldn't that be for the preorder bonus though? In saying that Cogs has the tab but no DLC that I know of.
Alright guys, you seem to be having a lot of trouble with Time Eater. Here's the remedy: Spoiler 1) If you don't care about music, best turn your volume off for the fight since Sonic's friends keep trying to help you. Well, unfortunately they don't tell you everything, so they're less than helpful... 2) In regards to what you're suppose to do with the "partner attack," it's basically there to have you not get hit by a frickton of debris. You might have noticed this. Press and hold the A button to have the attack last longer/go farther. For Modern Sonic, he launches Classic Sonic to go up and down and all around, destroying debris anywhere he goes, as if he's light-attacking them (PURIST RAGEFEST GOGOGOGOGOGOGOGO :v. For Classic, he shoots Modern in a straight line, destroying debris directly in front of him. Still kinda useful. 3) If you want to collect rings, the second you see them, stop boosting. Most of the time you'll slow down enough to pick some up. Try boosting into them when you allign yourself, so you'll get the most you can. This is essential for Modern Sonic; collecting rings for Classic is slightly easier because you can see the rings better. 4) You attack Time Eater by boosting up to him, not getting hit by his clap attack, and charging into his pink core. Then just keep pressing down X I guess, and you'll hurt him greatly. 5) One last thing; assuming you have volume off after Sonic's friends make you want to fall off a cliff to end your pain, in order to destroy his giant flame ball of death, press and hold left and right bumpers simultaneously until you charge THROUGH Time Eater. Hope this helps.
Alright guys, I've beaten up to Planet Wisp, all with all S-ranks and all red rings, excluding mission (saving those for last). Been playing the PC version on my brother's computer. I seem to have run into a few issues. Though from what I've been reading, slowdown in CPZ is normal. But at other random parts, the game slows down, pauses/freezes temporarily or even crashed a few times. Anyone else been having these issues? It's definitely not the computer's fault. Computer has 4GB of RAM, a quad core CPU (which is definitely good enough for the game and more), and a pretty awesome GPU to boot. Most of the time, the game runs flawlessly at 60FPS on highest resolution, on max setting (maybe it's partially the fault of me using 32-bit vista because my brother never installed Windows 7 64 bit?). So other than these issues, the game itself is very solid, especially since I've been using a 360 controller. Mosty been avoiding missions, but I have been getting the character missions out of the way. They're pretty terrible. My insistence to S rank and collect everything will be the undoing of me.
In regard to all of this dlc chat: oh how I hope they release some level packs. While I love the equal representation across the eras, there is still quite a few untapped resources in Sonic's past that could be quite useful in expanding the game. What levels would you folks want to see, and why? I for one think there needs to be a diversity in environments -- a problem that could be solved by way of Ice Cap Zone or Mystic Cave Zone. Let's see some Twinkle Park while we're at it :D.
The "hit it!" sample? Yes. That sound clip was also in the original song, and used as a sound effect in Streets of Rage 2 (maybe also 3). I think it's some sort of stock sound Sega was using in the 90s.
If any DLC ever happens, it'll be a three stage pack. Basically, three new stages, each covering a game from an era, that wasn't covered. If my memory serves me right, they'll likely cover Sonic 3, Shadow the Hedgehog (because to Iizuka, lolportables don't count) and likely a stage from the storyboard games. If I'm right, we'd likely get Ice Cap Zone, either Mad Matrix/Digital Circuit (to cover the cyber trope), and .....I dunno what for the third stage. If I'm right, then that'll be fun to see. :v:
Awesome. You mean the original Stardust Speedway? Can't hear it there myself. Gonna go listen to the SoR soundtrack and find it. In other news, there's a thread on SPUF saying there's an update.
Ok, I've seemed to figure it out... Spoiler Basically, never stop boosting. Keep on holding the boost button and eventually you'll get to him. Just try your best to avoid his attacks and you'll eventually get to his core... it seems like the best way to damage him at this point is to mash the boost button though. Seems like the ONLY use attacking with the other Sonic, though, is to remove debris and get rid of the missile attack, if you're lucky that is. Also seems to be no way to avoid the time stopping attack. Otherwise, I'm no longer nearly frustrated as before because I can easily beat him in under five minutes now. Hope this helps someones else who has trouble!
