One improvement I feel that should be in the controls is actually being able to use the stick to choose the direction of the Air Boost rather than whatever direction Sonic is currently facing, since Air-Boosting without not much knowledge of what you're doing tends to result in a quick death. Only penalization it should probably have is making the airboost say, 1/3rd less powerful if you use it in 180 degrees opposite.

Other than that I like the idea on FGF by Lobotomy of using the roll instead of a slide. If it was actually used by pressing down in the 2D sections, and pressing B on 3D I think it would work pretty well on the next game.

This is also the man who said Classic Sonic would not be returning. Then a few months later we got the Generations teaser. I don't think a Generations 2/format of Generations game is likely, but it's best not to believe everything Iizuka says straight up.

It sounds ridiculous but it was that way in the Sonic Rush series :V

Well, I found 2 things in Seaside Hill tonight. One in Classic, and another in modern.

Classic: It's a bit strange. I kinda just went through the floor :specialed: Picture on Steam.

Modern: There's a secret area right before the end. If you miss the rail before the wheel part, you can fall into this place: Picture on Steam (again)

There is a life, 3 Egg-Pawns, and a cannon to get you back up. Has this place been found? Correct me if I'm wrong.

So yeah, I remember someone finding a little 'alternate path' in Seaside Hill Modern as well, which was used if you fell down on the top path (apparently). I don't think anyone here has been here yet, but as I said before, correct me if I'm wrong.

If you take the lower path in the 2D section, you end up there. I thought I saw everything in the game and then I found a new area in Sky Sanctuary. I like that.

What I hated was the final boss battle( time eater) totally didn't meet my expectations. The only two cool things in the battle was, two super sonics!!! And the ability to switch sides.

This, so much. What made Generations instantly better than Unleashed (control wise) is that the homing attack was not mapped to the air boost, but the fact the air boost can send you to your death because it can be hard to tell where Sonic is facing can be a pain. The Chemical Plant shortcut is the main offender (thank God its at the beginning of the stage).

Also, on an unrelated note, has anyone ever noticed that if you have Blast Off equipped at the beginning of a stage, you can do ridiculous jumps at the start right after hitting boost on "Go!" if you keep holding the boost? The best places to see it is Chemical Plant, Speed Highway, or Crisis City.

Seaside Hill Act 2 is a huge level. It's also my favourite level in the game. That low path with the three Egg Pawns and the cannon was in Sonic Heroes except bigger with some hidden items scattered.

Yeah!!! I noticed that when I was aiming to jump into the first hoop in Green Hill Zone. It's crazy!!!!!

Stilted? Well yeah, before you add some skills. But you can get it to where he doesn't lose momentum while jumping.

Well, on Chemical Plant I just shorthop to the left path almost immediately. It's also really good on Planet Wisp! You can just bound to the top of the first hill.

Generations is now on PSN for 30$ in Canada. I'm too lazy to convert so check it out yourselves.

Yeah, I agree. Because of that, I find the 3DS's battle ironic: it's amazing compared to the console version. When I got to it my first time, I was saying "Oh, great. Another Time Eater battle I have to go through." But after I had played through it, I didn't necessarily love it, but I did when I compared it to the console version. There really isn't a contest, I think. Does anybody have any particular stories on this whole thing? This was mine, pretty much.

That seems to be the general concensus. I know I like the handheld battle better, to a point where both Sonics playing in 2D sort of gets on my nerves.

Yep!!! The 3DS version of the battle was definitely better. One thing about the console versions was how the rings were improperly placed and sometimes blend in with the background. It's really annoying.

So I hear SEGA is spoiling you, you fine Englishmen. I bet a bunch of you have useless codes now.

Would love one of those codes, but lack of money to offer for one presents a problem, and for that very reason I couldn't make it myself XD Ah well, such is life. Still playing this on a regular basis on PS3 though <3

Reading that makes me incredibly sad that I couldn't go to SOS. The codes going out, the QnA and the Sumo Digital panel all really sounded great. :/

I've been wanting to get Generations for PC for ages but never had the money. (I have it for PS3, but my console's been acting up recently.)

    Here, I got'choo guys covered:

BOY IT SURE WOULD BE NICE IF SOMEONE WOULD BE NICE ENOUGH TO GIVE CERTAIN PEOPLE WHO DON'T HAVE GENERATIONS ON PC GENERATIONS ON PC.

But seriously, I'd get it anyway you could. *Ahem* On a good enough PC, the framerate's twice as high and all the mods coming out are going to make it just as much the definitive version as TF2 is before too long.

Boy, I make some weird-ass run-on sentences when I've been up for 22 hours...

    fff that's not true

Okay maybe a bit but the whole missing out on SOS for those other reasons is a larger factor since I've already got the game on console

This is probably off-topic though. My apologies if it is.
