Sonic Generations Megathread II

Yeah, GameStop was selling 'em for $10 a pop before the game came out. I got classic Sonic and Motobug, and they live next to my computer now.

 

I got classic Sonic and Motobug and classic eggman and eggrobos. The classic eggman fits quite nicely with the first4figures mini set.

 

Man, I didn't see classic Eggman!

EDIT: This is $15 Aus, rule of thumb everything is more expensive over here because our minimum wage is way higher.

 

And of course there's stuff like the Total War series.

 

Btw, has anyone done any comparison videos with the original games (eg. SA2:B City Escape and Modern Generations)

I just thought it's be cool to see the old vs. new version side-by-side.

 

That would be pretty neat to see how the looks of the levels have changed from when the more modern games were released.

 

I was thinking of doing scenic runthroughs of levels along with a montage of clips of all the homages crammed into the levels next to it (the majority being the original zone) sorta like the Classic Sonic waiting animation video, but I'm a lazy bum and it's a lot of work.

So I decided to go and create a mashup of the Mushroom Hill Act 1 music from the 3DS version and the Mushroom Hill unlockable song from the P.C. / PlayStation 3 / Xbox 360 version:



I think it sounds quite a bit better than the tracks standalone, personally.

The game is now 25% off on Steam because of the winter sale. Unless it becomes a daily deal and gets something like 50% off, that's a good deal considering the PC version is cheap already.
