So for extracting SG PC bb bb2 and bb3 cpk files I tried QuickBMS but it says 0 files sound. Tried other Cpk unpackers like crifilesystem and utf_tab07b3 and they didn't work either. What am I doing wrong?
Try Noesis on it:
It can unpack cpk but not repack.
That worked, thanks :D
For me, I used this version of QuickBMS along with this script. I use the 4GB file executable, load up the script, select any of the bb cpks and then create a directory in the same directory as the cpk files with the same name as the cpk I'm extracting and it should extract into the new folder. Then to recreate the CPK archive I use crifilesystem. To recreate the CPK archive you select the folder of the extracted files as your Base Directory and then click "Build CPK file...". I make them uncompressed since the game seems to take them, haven't tried compressed though.
EDIT: efkshgseiugh ninja'd
Yeah I want to put Classic Sonic in Modern Sonic levels, trying to figure this out.
Update: Valfore is working on this.
Update: When you pack the cpk files and start the game it crashes. This is crifilesystem.
So, where can I get "crifilesystem"?
Edit: I think I found it. Now, I need the tool pack and unpack the ar files.
...Wow, someone actually took me seriously.
Interesting thing, that: I got hit when on the spikes, but my rings ended up flying up and not falling down. I naturally took a screenshot since the event was quite silly and uncommon. Someone said it reminded them of Debug Mode, hence I said I activated debug mode. :P
Anyways, I think I found some of the Time Eater dialog. File 30VCE_BLB_NP_EN.cpk, and in the foler Synth\3000000_voice\3500000_VCE_BLB_EN, you'll see a bunch of files. The first few seem to be Amy talking. Didn't convert all the files, so I don't know if all of that is the Time Eater fight.
Please, Someone, MAKE THOSE FILES BLANK. ;-; (As in no sound is actually there; I can't stand hearing "I THINK IT'S A HOMING SHOT" one more time)
I don't suppose anyone knows how to convert wav to aax? Google is not giving me must results.
Classic Sonic in Crisis City with Homing attack. Valfore edited the settings and says you can extend the homing range attack to Modern Sonic. Although problem is it doesn't advance any further once you hit the ramp as the game just crashes. Still interesting though.
Go figure, it's probably trying to load ramp animations for classic Sonic that aren't there.
Nope. We've been looking for that since Unleashed. No such luck.
I thought classic Sonic's homing attack actually, well, homed in on things. Also can you get classic shields into modern levels?
And at the same time lets get some modern Sonic in classic levels.
I guess I can try asking at Xentax and not get a response.=/
You'll get a response...
"OMG yeah I'd love that too!!"
Doesn't vgmstream or PSound do vice-versa work as well? I know they convert .aax to .wav.
Not to my knowledge. I wonder if it'a possible with some CRI tools, but I have no idea where to find some.
So erm, anyone think they can tell me what files I have to modify to change some values for Sonic, and what tools exactly to use to unpack and repack the .cpk files? (sorry if this has been stated before; I suggest Andrew updates his first post with the info people like me need? (like, giving a tutorial or whatever).
CriAudioCraft has AAX encoding from what I remember, the only problem is it just opens up an error saying the program has expired when you try and run it.
Yea, but It's pretty much nonexistent. I asked at HCS and someone said it might be possible in the CRI SDK.
