Sonic GBA is not dead

Awesome, good to see my badniks are actually being used somewhere - I've no problem with 'em being used so long as I'm credited somewhere for 'em. =P Just throw me into the graphic artists list when ya come to make the end credits, heh. XD The zones themselves look fairly kickass, good work on that. = ) Look forward to seeing more.

Incidentally, if you're going to be in need of a mechanical-type zone, let me know. =P There's one that I began designing foreground GFX for a long time ago that I'd nicknamed 'Scrap Yard' that I never ended up using for anything; I'll dig it out if you're interested, since if I finished off the foreground tiles it could save you guys some work on designing a Zone. =P I'll dig up what I'd done of it so far if you're interested. If not, no worries. XD

EDIT: Also, one niggle I have with your title screen.. the 'wings' on the side of the circle don't look symmetrical, and look rather squshed in. =P I'd personally go for something more like the 'wings' on the circle that holds the act number in your title card, and shade them like Sonic 1 / 2's 'wings' on the logo - it'd suit the style of the rest of the screen a lot more, IMO. Just a suggestion. = )

 

These layouts are AWESOME. I think I rarely saw something so good. Dude, take your time, don't rush things up, because this has potential to be a masterpiece.

Also, nice touch with the custom badnicks.

Cosmic City looks smegging awesome. That background is brilliantly put together. Can't wait to see more progress.

Take your time. But may I suggest you use the Sonic CD sprites for the game? (The Sonic 3 sprites look awful imo.)

Gosh, that sprite owns so many levels :D Pretty good job! I've tryied the old beta on the PSP and you were right, the emulator works incredibly well! I can't wait to play the real thing!

Very impressive looking. I definitely agree with the Chaotix-esque style of the art and shadings.
And, as others have said already, the layouts you have up look very nice.

Are you coding this from scratch, or are you trying to port the engine from one of the Genesis sonic games to GBA?

 

Oh my god, how I wish that was a mod for a Genesis Sonic game. Looks amazing.

Why do you care? Sonic isn't an RPG game where text is really important. As long as you know that "nouveau jeu" means "new game" you'll be fine.
