Ah, much better. Future recommendation- use png to save sprites, not jpeg. EDIT: But where would Sonic hit him?
Azu came up with the idea that sonic has to keep jumping on the rod, pushing it into the ground, making the radius get smaller, and eventually when the whole rod is under, the ball and eggman crash into each other, destroying the machine.
Put a peg/stake on top of the center shaft, and every time you hit it it drives the chain futher into the ground, shortening the distance.
I just think it gives more of a classic feel. Although, I guess you can say the original BlitzSonic model accomplishes that... Eh, whatever. We'll have to see how the models come out.
What's the problem? All I'm planning is for it to look exactly like this: You know, now with this design, I don't know if I want the other shoes or not :v: Neat, although maybe we could edit it where it looks a bit more detailed and refined, and has signature badnik googly eyes. Good idea though. I could actually see it shooting snowballs out and pelting them at Sonic.
It'll have proper details when it's fully textured. I don't like the idea of giving it googly eyes; it's a snowman, and it should have snowman eyes.
Well it is a snowman robot :v: But I see what you're getting at. Maybe it would be better just to stay like that.
There isn't a problem, it was just a suggestion =V That looks pretty decent though... Yeah, the shoes are kinda bright o_o'
Don't you know; saturation is awesome! :specialed: But yeah, I'm getting off now (sleeping is also awesome), so I'll be back tommorrow with more stuffs.
No I quit. But by that, I shouldn't be on the list as a Sonic modelers, most likely I'll only be doing things like items. I'm very rusty on characters. And for items I said "might". As in I have no idea if I will or not.
I guess I will be working on badniks/bosses/objects. To keep the models simple (and fast) I will make low poly models, and UV map them with good textures. I don't know if that is how you want them displayed in-game or not, but it should work just fine even if you apply a Blitz brush effect to it for shine/specular. Oh and I made this stupid little spiral object just for the hell of it. Edit: In addition to making new original models, here are some classic ones I made long ago. Just let me know if there are any here you want. sonic_badniks.jpg sonic_bosses.jpg
You probably saw the models I done in the pass few years and I hoping that those became part of the project itself. I already rigged Sonic and Tails, and I'm about to rig Eggman next. So far the project is coming along pretty well.
That would look especially great if it was a little thinner, a little longer, and as a bridge over a river.
First one, it's lit better. But it's level design is too open. When you're done with the layout you should enclose more (read: almost all) of it and add background elements.
