I loved the shit out of the first Riders game, but Zero Gravity was fucking terrible. So I don't know how to feel about this... I'm definitely not on the anti-Kinect bandwagon, nor lobotomized by the hype and marketing of it, but I AM curious to see just what companies can do with the Kinect. If FreeRiders has the same sense of speed and precision as the first Riders game, I'll probably pick it up... provided I can get a Kinect without spending an arm and a leg.

anyone know whether FreeRiders has a traditional controller option as well?

SEGA have actually stated numerous times that the game is Kinect only. This must be their way of testing the water.

 

While having Metal Sonic in this game is pretty awesome, I'm still not buying a Kinect just to play this game.

Who knows? Maybe my original xbox will red ring and I'll just buy one of the new systems that will inevitably come bundled with a Kinect. Then I'll buy it. And it's bound to happen. I have a launch 360 and it only red ringed once. It will again, I'm sure of it.

Silver, Blaze, Vector, and more confirmed. Get to hear Knuckles and Wave's new voice and a bit of the others too like Shadow's and Rouge's, the Hang-On bike returns, Eggman is dressed up as a king/Santa Clause and seems to have his own story mode, new track confirmed and watched played, and new music can be heard.

Guys, be careful! Don't let your inner fan-boy make you spend loads of your hard-earned cash on Kinect just for one Sonic party game! My advice is to wait a bit before you rush in and buy this... Ok, if you REALLY loved the first Riders and Riders ZG then go ahead, just don't buy something you'll regret later.

In my opinion the game looks pretty decent though, at least until the motion gimmick novelty wears off. Does anyone have any high quality gameplay clips where we can hear Sonic's voice clearly?

 

Yeah, even I want this game, but I already want too much this year...ugh! DX
I'll probably be embarrassed playing this in public though. I mean, I'm already embarrassed that a few of my folks saw me play this...D:
