I think it has to do with knowing how these games work and the effort that goes into them from an experienced series fan's perspective. We've seen the highs and the lows, we're always ready to be critical or appreciative, so when we see Forces it's like we're picking apart individual details and scrutinizing footage far more extensively than the average Youtube comments and forum/imageboard posts.
This may well be the reason for no Echidna base, and to be honest it does make canon sense. Fox though, that's an odd one. Maybe it should have been instead of the wolf base?
Isn't Tails a mutant (two tails)? Maybe regular Foxes are too similar to Wolves without the second tail.
Wow, I guess one of the perks of my (real) first name being an obscure foreign name is that I can avoid the whole "Your Name the Hedgehog" thing.
http://www.playstationlifestyle.net/2017/08/29/sega-pax-west-line-up-sonic-forces-demo-confirmed/ Playable at PAX west, though it says it only has three stages (AKA probably the E3 demo). I'm done expecting them to actually show off any new levels anyway, they seem to be tied to secrecy and only showing off what are essentially tutorials for right now.
I'm sure they'll show more soon. The focus is still on Mania at the moment so why would they show off a game that's not out yet when there's one that's right there that needs to be pushed. Marketing wise I'm sure the Mania delay was a headache for Forces as it, well, forced them to focus on that. Otherwise they would have probably shown much more over the summer. I expect we'll see more probably around mid September.
There is something really weird about Arin rapping Infinite's theme. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ReETK4m1MPM
Weird as in not the song itself (which I wouldn't necessarily call 'deep', Infinite's theme has a very clear message - "I'm tough stuff and you're chump chowder, also I'm fucking pissed!") , rebelcheese is mostly (probably) implying it's weird that Arin, who publicly hates Sonic and makes sure everyone knows this every waking day of his life is now suddenly covering a song from a game that embodies 99% of what he makes fun of. Granted he has been quite accepting of Mania, the jump between that and full-on 'fan cover of Infinite theme' isn't exactly a small logical step. Either the Sonic bashing is the biggest Tsundere act of the century, or Arin has realised that showing the love will unlock a new wave of fans. His performance is pretty good, although It's funny coz I still associate that 'voice' with his old Awesome series, so it just sounds like he's doing some parody rant to some hardcore riffs.
Arin's definitely not a Sonic fan but I don't think he really hates the franchise as much as his internet persona would make you think. It's just bants innit
If this counts as validity, then yes. Sounds like it's just concept art and cosmetics, which really is the right way to do day one stuff (other than not doing it at all because it's stupid). Don't want to give a huge amount more content just because people were the first to the store. I'd go for the Jet Set Radio stuff, but I don't tend to buy stuff day one anyway.
Did I read that right? There's both a dog AND wolf character? For fucks sake just combine both into one. Also Yikes these passive abilities leave a lot to be desired. Either start a life with rings, keep some rings when getting hurt, or hold invincibility longer in order to more easily retrieve rings. That sounds like enough for one perk, not to be chopped into a bunch of bite sized fuck all perks.
https://twitter.com/sonic_hedgehog/status/903271303485898752 Switch and Xbox One versions too. Persona 5 stuff in a Sonic game is the weirdest shit to me.
Don't characters in Persona shoot themselves in the head with spirit guns or something to release their inner persona? Something about that being in a sonic game where fans can make their own ORIGINAL CHARACTERS DO NOT STEAL is.... hilarious to me.
