I... Woah, wait, what? I'm not sure how to react to those shots, but I will say this probably belongs in Engineering and R.E.
Why do I get the feeling that this is too good to be true? I'd be very interested to see how it runs. Well regardless of it being fake or not, those screens are really beautiful.
That artwork is amazing. It's so amazing that I'd say there is about a tiny fraction of a single percent chance of this ever coming to fruition. Still, it's a pretty neat accomplishment. Is this all hand drawn? I was looking at some of the details, and I noticed that no two palm trees in these screenshots are identical.
That-- Oh my god those screens are fucking beautiful I really like that Sonic model too, the running animation is awesome.
Yes, this. Your art is very stunning and you show what I really expected from S2HD. However, it's just too busy, with lots of big green stuff in both the foreground and background, so there's very little contrast. Consider fixing that somehow, but don't get rid of whatever artistic direction you have going on. Unless these screens are cropped? What do you have planned for this gameplaywise?
As cool as this looks I almost expect it's fake. I don't really know why just have a *feeling*. All the same if it is real it looks great. How far is the engine along?
I think I'll also add most of the scenery doesn't seem like something I'd see in the Sonic games. Things like the grass, flowers, trees, totem poles.. well just about everything seem un-Sonicy to me. It looks more like something I'd expect from Crash Bandicoot or something.
The screenshots do look really awesome, but at the same time, it's pretty... "busy", and I think the level would be distracting from the actual gameplay. It makes me wonder if it'll actually get somewhere. =V
you could depth of field/blur the background to make it not clash with the foreground as much. Seems to be the biggest problem, given an absence of physics/gameplay video
Um. Wow. This certainly came out of left field. Everything is a bit too bright, but those screenshots are beautiful. Everything looks pretty damn good.
