Patch cables (two male standard mini-headphone plugs at each end) are a must if you want to get the audio cleanly, providing the television in question has a headphone jack. Not like it matters too much as it's mostly recycled music from SA2 and both Sonic and Shadow share voice files, but it never hurts.
Will do, thanks for the link . Yes, I guess I'm pretty happy to be living in Oregon to go to the event.
I will of course be there. I loaned the xbox to a store as I figured it would be fun to let people try out some unreleased game ideas. The system aside from Sonic Extreme has a few other never released games for people to play. Also as for the xbox, I will likely be looking to sell it after the show.
Interesting Proton. You lent the system to Game Trader is that correct? Anyways, it would be pretty cool to have that Xbox. I might have to break out the cash haha.
Bumping this old thread. Framebuffer grab of the title: Working on video. First, going to talk to whomever I can find from Visionscape.
Yeaaaah Tony Jet the Hawk Pro Skater is back, baby But I'm kinda confused, where's this new stuff from?
My first goal is to simply figure out what was going on at Visionscape at the time. They were working on a ton of different pitches, most being skateboarding based. For a company that contributed to as much as they did, things weren't going so hot. Lots of dates and other stuff to clear up, if such a thing is possible over 10 years later. I know the question will come up: Yes, I am considering releasing it, but it depends on a number of factors (cost, developer conditions, that sort of thing). But I've had the game for less than 12 hours, so do stay tuned.
I had completely forgotten about this until you bumped the topic. Looks pretty interesting! Thanks for posting screenshots. Obviously I hope you end up releasing it, but I am patient. I'm excited to see what else you post!
While you wait, here are a handful of screenshots taken right from my debug kit. Still in BMP form, straight from the framebuffer. Feel free to convert them, put them on the wiki, use them wherever. You can link back to http://youtube.com/ptoponline if you would like, especially if you're some website out there wanting to keep your readers updated, but it's really not necessary. https://mega.nz/#!QRED2RJA!XKlb6EKo5Vx7UPkrjxh93JGeO1n4kGSAiN3fo56RMuQ Image 54 is the standard mission map Image 61 is the race map
This is gonna be amazing, I don't know if this is meant to be more SA2 or Sonic 1 based, but considering the themes from Shadow's level there, looks like it was SA2 focused. I hope there are more level themes.
Awesome, glad its been brought back from the dead 5 years later. wonder why ProtonX went silent and eventually sold it?
Going to sit down and start working on some stuff shortly. Do check out that Mega link I posted though, quite a few good quality shots in there.
@Lanzer I never truly disappeared. I had a number of people contact me- mostly through YouTube. Nothing ever really panned out. Borman and I talked occasionally over the past few years and finally worked something out (I just wanted to recover my cost of obtaining these units). The data will be better explored and preserved in his hands than in storage in my basement. It will be exciting to see what he can find as he is much more familiar with looking at data files than I am.
