gameplay looks cool, visually this reminds me of Lost World a lot (funnily enough Lost World turned 10 years old a few days ago)

the 2D animation in the trailer looks great too, would love to see an extended version of it

This game looks sick as hell but Im really, really disappointed it's stuck on apple arcade. I guess I wont be playing this one, sadly

Maybe we'll get a pc port in 2034 at least. Just like the taxman remasters :V

12 levels, huh? 3 per world like Zone acts, is it? Was this going to be much on length anyways, or is it more involved than that like multiple missions per level? A Sonic 4 Episode length would be expected for a mobile title I suppose, at least upfront.

A dream team without Shadow? They’re going to have to explain that one. I’m excited for it! The world and bosses look interesting.

I keep watching the trailer looking for red flags and reasons to not be excited but it just looks like a fun 3D platformer designed by a studio with a lot of experience on Sonic.

It sucks that it's apple arcade exclusive but I can't imagine it staying that way if it's financially successful and gets good enough reviews.

I never thought I'd say this about a sonic mobile game again post Runners but I can't wait to get more information. I hope we get to see more gameplay soon.

There's only 30 seconds of gameplay out in the wild right now. Give it time.

The fact that this sentence is coming from the cynical side this time already is a good sign.

    .

There's a full 1:30 intro in the actual game. The clips in the trailer are from that.

Looks pretty good given the limited footage. Shame its an apple exclusive because no matter how good it is I wont be playing it.

If this is an exclusive, expect it to be timed and to possibly show up at a later date on other platforms like Various Daylife, Air Twister, Shantae: Seven Sirens, Shinsekai: Into the Depths and (presumably following SteamDB) Fantasian.

Is there any info what is the purpose of that pink ball Sonic throws at the beginning of the trailer and that's also featured in the logo? Seems like it's this game's main gimmick of sort (besides the Knockout park theme)

The sad thing is that it really does, yet it's destined to be stuck on a subscription service for a platform that anyone who doesn't want to pay insane amounts for a phone is never going to use.

    Oh well, never mind.

To be fair, the cheapest iPhone is $400. And as far as usability goes, it'll beat most other Android phones at the same price point.

And I don't see why people are acting like this is a niche platform and that SEGA shot themselves in the foot with exclusivity. It makes perfect sense to me; this is all iPhone, iPads, Macs, and Apple TVs that are currently supported, and those are EVERYWHERE. Apple Arcade is one of the most popular game subscription services currently available. I don't have to like the exclusivity, but people claiming nobody will play this are just kidding themselves.

Looks really good, but I'm not buying some overpriced, underpowered and underfeatured Apple hardware just to play this.

If you guys really want to play it, just get an Apple TV around Black Friday.

Apple Arcade is on every Apple-related device, including that. It's basically a Roku where it's a streaming box for your TV so it's the cheaper option out of getting a Mac, iPad, or iPhone, lol. You're also able to pair any controller as long there's Bluetooth. The price points I saw go around 80 dollars.

(Just for clarification, I'm bringing this up as an option. I wouldn't recommend buying it just to play a Sonic game but you're welcome to do whatever you want lol)

I wouldn't count on that, Sega already has multiple games on apple arcade and none of them have yet been ported off. The prime example being Chu Chu Rocket universe, which was a launch title for the service and remains to this day. Unlike these other devs where it makes more financial sense to take the games off the service to other platforms. Sega is big enough they could just ignore this forever until its eventual delisting, especially if Apple funded the majority of this project, which they might have as I've been seeing people claim a couple Apple employees worked on this game *could be BS though*.
