Sonic Dream Team (New 3D Game from Hardlight, coming to Apple Arcade December 5)

Heck, it almost felt like an anime series opening xD

 

I think the plot of this game might be on some Persona 1 shit. Cream is captured and is used as a "host" to create the dream world. She's the youngest character and young kids are thought of as dreamers.

 

looks great, probably the best of all the post-Mania 2D animated sequences (I feel like I say this exact thing everytime there's a new one lol)

as someone who grew up with the Advance games, it's cool to see Cream in the limelight again. She's the only sonic character that my niece likes lol

 

Me: *gets an awesome animated Sonic intro*

Also me: "Why don't we have a Sonic animation that looks like this yet?"

 

I love Apple and I love Tim Cook!

 

That intro is lovely! The color palette is especially nice, all those pinks, purples, and cyans.

I think besides the Superstars "Trio of Trouble" short this is my favorite of the game related animations post Mania. Don't have an Apple device myself but I hope to play it one day.

 

This game alone has made me consider buying a 32GB Apple TV to get that 3 months free trial of Apple Arcade. However, I have a feeling that if I do get an Apple TV, I'll end up just using the thing as a coaster once the trial ends.

 

My god could they make sheep lady being a twist villain any more obvious than the cat's cradle shit she's doing

 

Bought a used Apple TV for a tenner to give this game a go when it comes out. £10 plus one month of Apple Arcade subscription is a fraction of what I spent on just one one copy of Frontiers, Superstars and Origins. The game looks fun. I'm looking forward to giving it a go.

 

Incredible animation, much better than the Superstars opening - fully sets up the characters and story and has a clear flow to it, and some really nice aesthetic decisions.

 

The "NO ONE CAN AFFORD TO PLAY THIS GAEM, FUCK APPLE" crowd been real quiet since this dropped

I think this is the closest Sonic's boost came to looking like actual boots. Ariem has a character sheet but that's being withheld for now.

 

yeah I really like how Sonic's boots kind of have these little folds that give the impression of it being a boot. That's a little detail I haven't seen since the boxart of Sonic Gems Collection

That's probably because money is not the reason that gatekeeping this game to a subscription service and Apple hardware is wrong. It's wrong on principle.
