The real Sonic Adventure 3 has always been Waku Waku Sonic Patrol Car, let's be real

 

Any 3D Sonic game without a chao garden cannot be an Adventure game.

(this is phrased as a joke but I also kinda unironically believe it)

 

Sonic Speed Simulator has Chao but lacks a garden. Does that make Speed Simulator, Adventure 2.5? Wait SA2.5 was an archie comic event… so does this make Speed Simulator, Adventure 2.6 :p

 

Me, but with Adventure Fields. It's right there in the name!

 

What's so great about the Chao Garden?

 

When you're a kid with no internet and there's nothing good on any of the broadcast television channels you get, spending hours waiting for a blob on screen to go up one number is pretty entertaining.

 

Chao are cute, raising them is fun

 

Sonic Adventure 3 is whichever post-Sonic Adventure 2 game has the best 3D spindash. Speaking of that do we know if the speed characters will have an exclusive move?

 

Especially in Adventure 2 where you can get sent straight there after a level. In Adventure 1 I never got into it as heavily because you have to go out your way to access them.

I had cable and internet but it was still fun to watch them grow and evolve.

 

people who had internet in the 2000's will probably remember the Chao Laboratory website. I used to love making those papercraft things as a kid

 

Raising and breeding them to have different color combinations and head shapes was fun for me, personally. Got me making spreadsheets and shit.

Small animals have come out of destroyed badniks since the first game. It was cool to give those some sort of mechanical role. It was also cool to give some meta-level function to the rings you had at the end of the stage. Chao Garden did both of these.

I do like the Sonic and Shadow stages the most but they torture us by making us play mostly Treasure Hunting and Mech Stages. I used to look forward to playing SA2 in middle school but now when I go back it feels like a chore. Nostalgia is a pain. Sonic Adventure gives us 6 game styles. 5 of the 6 are good. Gamma is like playing with a mech but it was short and had cool boss fights at the end of each stage. Knuckle’s Treasure hunting stages weren’t as bad because they did not restrain you to 1 master emerald piece. They also doubled the size of the stages in SA2. If you’re going to do that don’t restrain us to searching for 1 piece at a time. It was a lot of weird choices in SA2 but they did have a smaller development team too.

 

What the hell is that Rouge voice? She sounds like an older Cream
