I'm putting a very detailed Sonic Crackers Hacking Guide together. It will include fixing collision structures, level editing, sprite editing and placement, and other misc info. Tell me what you want.

Everything sounds good, it'd be hard though, cuz sonic crackers is incredibly uncomplete, but if you're up for it, good luck.

I have used a little of your guide and given you credit.

    HOWEVER:

You did not include the info on the ability like:

    -How to change the menus
    -Level Editing
    -Sprite editing

    I'll include these things.

Do you mean, changing the ASCII menus and the uncompressed sprites?

I believe I already covered the menus and title screen. They use the same mappings format as the field levels.

I don't know anything about hacking. But I don't think it should be too hard to put in a decent title screen. the spaces for levels are there as shown in the level select so I think you could make new levels.

You'd have to start by rearranging everything in the game. There's a LOT of code which needs to be trimmed and put into a block. Then there's the compression which needs to be regularised (Enigma compression is used for 16x16s, 128x128s and level layout, and Enigma is not as compact a compression as Nemesis). THEN you need to fix any and all bugs in the engine (drunk sprites, rings, etc), and finally you can start working on the game itself. It'll end up playing a lot like Knuckles' Chaotix.

You might want to make sure your guide works though.
