Just want to say that + - Terminal Velocity Act 1 is the most incredibly cheap thing ever. I mean, I would love it if it wasn't for + - the complete and utter lack of checkpoints but GOD DAMN.
In Planet Wisp, I have to say for all of Takashi Iizuka's talk his claim saying this game was better than the classics may not be too far off...
Starlight carnival oh my fucking god OH MY FUCKING GOD To everybody who was worried about this game being short. Get that thought 100% out of your head. Some of these acts are lengthy as fuck. And there are branching paths galore. Some of these acts, I'm pretty sure I could play 3 or 4 times over and never see the same route. Wow just beat the Sweet Mountain Zone boss. That was actually way fun and really well thought out. Platforming? In MY Sonic boss? It's more likely than you think!
Just got back from playing. Got well into Starlight Carnival. I love it so much. I could marry this game for Pete's sake. (note: do not attempt to marry video games) Truly, this is Sonic as we imagined it.

Is this game dash-panel city like Sonic 4 level design or do later levels become less "feet"-holding?
Okay, I just saw the first act of astroid coaster... probably the biggest down-point of the game for me, which is weird because I was looking forward to it so much. The cheap deaths have increased 10-fold and it seems like pits are popping up everywhere. I like the ideas in the level, but the execution could have been better.
But that act is okay because you're warned of the pitfalls, and the player obviously sucks at the game. :v:
