At least you understood what I was saying, and I definitely agree. Although, I don't like the idea of another interceptor. He'll obviously be in that level only, but it kinda ruins the flow of the level, as far as backtracking and alternate routes are concerned. Those parts are the most scripted. Luckily, there are multiple acts so that shouldn't be a problem. So how do you think the in-game cutscenes will look, if there are any? Personally, I'm not too excited... I mean, I don't know how the game will look up close. So apparently I wasn't done for the night >.<
Dreadknux's avatar on Sonic Stadium gives some insight to what the cutscenes might look like. :v: I have to say that Sonic model is very impressive for a Wii game.
When this game is released the amount of Sonic fans swarming into video game stores will be overwhelming! The swarm of die hard fans!
Re: Super Sonic I imagine he would be his normal self, and would need to pick up wisps to use the color powers, the exception being the one that has boosting. Here's hoping that Sonic 4 started a trend that would actually make this Sonic only business acceptable.
Dayyyum. Still, I thought they might've gone all out with the CG :P. Then again that would be overly expensive. It looks nice. I'm still worried about the cutscenes, how were the cutscenes in madworld? WERE there cutscenes? Edit: I just watched a little bit of the opening, but it was pretty much sonic and the secret rings and got boring quickly. But that's presentation, not script writing. Really though, sonic's lines, although funny, are way out of character. I mean "Experience has taught me to touch anything shiny" is hilarious, but not something sonic would/should say. I liked his personality from unleashed, really. I think comic relief should be left to another character, I don't think sonic should be the one being funny. Maybe he'll get more serious later on though, like in unleashed. Double edit: Why do I care about sonic's character now, I should shut up.
Mind you MadWorld has a unique visual style. EDIT: Ahaha, fix'd tags... Had the wrong tags for this board. XD;
If you're saying that Super Sonic would have infinite boost, then this sounds like a very good idea to me. Earn Super Sonic through special stages --> blast through stages at breakneck speeds. That would add a tonne of replay value in itself.
Ok, we seem to have hit a middle ground there. As for the in-game cutscenes, I don't expect a similar quality to Unleashed's, but I reckon they'l be pretty good. Although, to me, in-game/engine cutscenes aren't a big thing to me, but it would be nice to see some interesting dialogue. The quotes have already shown some quite humourous examples. On another note, I am nearly 100% convinced to buying a Wii. So I'm pretty pleased I will be able to play this.
That's exactly what I thought they were going to do with Sonic Unleashed. First of all, do we know that this game has Special Stages?
Just watched that Mad World video, and it was pretty cool, albeit a little "ruff n' tuff" for my tastes. My roomie's got the game, I need to crack it open sometime and check it out. The DS version has Special Stages. I figure we would've heard about Wii Special Stages by now, if there were any. At the very least, Svend would've brought it up...right? It wouldn't kill me to collect them throughout the story mode like we always have (save for Heroes I guess), but a new Special Stage in a 3D game would be pretty sweet. Also, I'm with Sol Paradox, is the opening viewable online somewhere? I just did a quick search on the YouTubes (tried Colors with and without the 'U', dunno if that would matter), and came up with nothing except for clips from that horrible concert after TGS.
Pretty sure that's not the in game model. I don'tr believe the in game model has a 3D mouth, and I also don't think its that high poly.
There were materializing paths in X-treme. It may be the angle, but he looks even fatter than his Unleashed model.
Looking at the lighting between the gameplay we've seen in and this pic, I'm pretty certain that's the in-game model, just being used in a cutscene. Unleashed did that too. But that's a fantastic model; I'm glad they're continuing to use it.
One of the videos showed emerald icons in the Sonic simulator level select screen (the one that looks like an arcade cabinet). http://www.gamekult.com/video/10382705/ (around 0:54) Also since no one's said it yet, Aquarium Park is supposed to resemble Japan, not China.
