Does anyone know where I can get the Sonic CD video extracted from the Sega CD version of Sonic CD? I know I've seen the video and a player some where for it. However I cannot remember where and Google isn't coming through for me. Thanks.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oy1IQC3-zwM just pop that in Keepvid. I recorded it myself, it is the highest possible quality recording after youtube butchered it.
Which version did you want? I have both if you need them. Why did I post both? I happen to like both soundtracks very much. In fact if you asked me to pick which one was better I couldn't side with anyone.
No I don't want a Youtube video. I want the extracted video from the Sega CD. There is the video and the player somewheres on the interweb. I know because I've had it before but I cannot for the life of me find it again.
I think I know what you're talking about but I cant find it. I think it was someone here who made it. It didn't extract anything, it was just a program that would play the video from the original files on the Sega CD version of Sonic CD. It was neat, but I don't know why anyone would need this though. You can just watch it by loading Sonic CD up in an emulator.
I know what he means, TmEE made it. Just go to the TmEE co. site for the player and SonAR for the game. Seriously though, what are you getting at?
If you really want, I can create you an RGB based lossless AVI using the Camstudio codec. I honestly don't see why you can't just do this yourself though.
This is what I used last time and it worked well, I just lost the program and file. Is is so unbelievable that I would go for something that has worked for me in the past? What I'm looking for is a loseless Sonic CD video right from the Sega CD that I can look at frame by frame. Anyway I think this: http://www.hot.ee/tmeeco/DWNLOADS/SONICCDV.RAR is what Sega Loco is talking about. Its not the same because the other one played most Sega CD videos not just the Sonic CD ones plus it had the pause rewind fast forward etc.
The STM files are the video files in the Sonic CD, just see the ISO or your CD... the data format is custom... there is a thread somewhere here, with newer versions of my player and better versions from Shibunoa that IIRC support frame dumps to PNG. I could add BMP file dumping and WAV extracting into my player, or perhaps turn it into a converter... AVI conversion would be possible too actually, but I know of no details regarding AVI files...
TmEE, just convert to uncompressed and then pipe to ffmpeg to get the avi. (Does windows support FIFO files, that could add avi on the fly capabilities, thats what I do with Dolphin video most of the time)
The question is more about container formats... I can only handle BMPs and WAVs and my custom formats...
