Well is time to vote again!
I say desrt level.
Some say that Dust Hill is connected with cd`s missing level. We may never know
It's pretty obvious,if they(Sonic Team) put it in there IMO I say they would call the level Dust Desert or Dusty Desert (The thing with the same letters at the begining of each word in the levels).Oh yea the little planet thing it has some cactus plants strange. The level might have been a ruin level also (I shoulda put that in the poll too). There's proof about that,go play Sonic Mega collection and go figure.
I read at Saxmans site that Sonic Cd was started from an early version of Sonic 2.
Maybe that version had Dust Hill. They probably replaced the level with Quartz Quadrant or Wacky Workbench.
what do I pick if I think it's both? B)
My theory is that it's both a ruins level and a desert level. There's those cacti on little planet, and in the Sonic CD video in Mega Collection, the second scene is a ruins level. So it could easily be both.
It's probably not a desert level. Those who worked on Sonic 2 and Sonic CD were on completely separate teams. They worked on the games independently.
R2 was most likely a ruins type level.
Technically then you pick neither since two votes on opposite ends essentially would cancel out. :P
I think it would look like a blue screen with Sonic falling forever.
You mean like Genocide City? But without the die?
hmm.....well I guess it's a desert level all around, but in some places you could be in a ruin area, like the caves in EHZ on S2. The movie we know with the big (What's that thing called?) monster was probably going to be the boss.
The PC version of Sonic CD (Which won't work on XP!) has a loading screen which is a map of Little Planet. I'll try to find a picture of it. I'd just start up the gameXP now .
That's Oil Ocean !
I have the Demo of SCD for PC (Win 98 ain't obselete yet!), And I've seen the pic, too. Damn, I wish what it all would have look like. That reminds me, I've had the idea of a Sonic Fangame, Western Style! It sounds bad, but the theme song could be the Wild, Wild West theme (I LOVE that movie).
I came pretty close to getting Sonic CD to work in Windows XP. I just forgot how to tell the c:\windows\sonic.ini file what my cd drive was (or how to bypass it).
The bottom one is labeled with the possible places. The vines at the top could be the ruin level, the cacti could be dust hill.
[Plug]This is on my new website (open on the 14th Oct.)[/Plug]
I'm still thinking that's Oil ocean the missing level :P
Hmm. The sounds the green lids make in Oil Ocean do sound a bit like Some Sonic CD sounds. Jump into one of those point things in Collision Chaos (they look like the 3 horiizontal bars that give you points in Casino Night of Sonic 2) and the sound it makes when you are pushed out is very similar to that of the Oil Ocean green lids.
Never knew that, but I think the Bad Future of the Cacti level would be like a OOZ. Oh, and those vines are collision chaos, and the metallic stuff with the tower is MMZ.
Separate names with a comma.
