This is the new info, from Evan Stanley's Tumblr: http://spiritsonic.tumblr.com/post/147426769889/robotnikholmescomicblog-elite-earthbender Guess her posting about it confirms it.
Wonderful. I look forward to season 2 of Sonic Boom (Tv series). I quite enjoyed the first season of that show.
The show will greatly benefit from a 22-minute format, even if only for an episode or two. And even better, Ian Flynn will be coming on board. The man just gets Sonic. The series was already pretty strong in the first series, and now it sounds like it's going to get better. Definitely excited about this.
Flynn coming onboard is the first real thing that I've heard that makes me excited for the show. Really excited for what this could mean for the future.
I'll be honest with you guys, I have to look up who is this Flynn guy which you all speak of. Now that I know who he is...I AM REALLY EXCITED FOR SEASON 2 NOW
Time to wake up Spazz from cyrosleep and get his recording gear ready. Boom Season 2 at the end of the month.
I don't get it. Their important stuff runs on weeknights right? Steven Universe and Adventure Time are weeknight shows. They aren't Nickelodeon where every time slot needs to be reserved for reruns of Spongebob. Why can't they move Boom to at least an hour or two later? What's on their Saturday morning schedule besides Pokemon that's so important?
Nothing, they are still trying to kill it with that dead timeslot. that means were gonna have to show just as much support as we did with the first season. Spazz, you gonna be doing the same thing as season 1?
Well, it's more Sonic Boom, alright. If you liked Season 1, you'll like it here, but they haven't shown any real improvements from before. I think the animation is a little more lively, but I haven't seen a Season 1 episode since it finished airing. My real complaint is that Cartoon Network is still doing the "one episode per week" schedule. I want more than 11 minutes every Saturday.
Just watched the full episode and it was alright, best part was the AoStH music cameo. Also the animation seems to have improved, so that's nice.
So is Spazz going to continue uploading or?... EDIT: Guess I should clarify, I know he hasn't been seen in a year on Retro but has anyone ehard from him on the Retro IRC or something? if not can anyone get in contact with him and see if hes still continuing?
Ah so hes just doing it off site then, dang well thats good! Thanks Spazz for your continued efforts.
Yeah, I noticed that too. The track is called In the Hall of the Mountain King, and it's pretty famous outside of AoSTH. I#m pretty sure it's public domain now though, so why they used a sound-alike rather than the actual thing is a a mystery. It made sense for the E.T. and Wizard of Oz parodies, but not this. So I've just watched the episode for myself anyway. No real standout moments but it was decent and there were two very solid improvements over the first season. This episode used a lot of background music, and it wasn't as bland as the season 1 stuff. It definitely made the action scenes more exciting to watch. Secondly was the animation. There was an awful lot more movement going on to make the characters seem more lively, especially the facial expressions. A solid effort all round. How long do you think Boom will stick around? Three games have so far crashed and burned and the TV show, while decent, isn't anything too special. Three or four seasons? I've no idea about these things.
Well despite being one episode in, the show is on hiatus for a month: https://www.sonicstadium.org/2016/11/sonic-boom-season-2-on-hiatus-for-a-month/ Someone really wants this show to die don't they.
...why the fuck didn't they just hold back the first episode if they knew this month-long gap was coming up? That makes no sense.
