I've always considered that more of a case of Japanese ex-pats developing a Sonic game in the States, but I guess that's technically right.
I do hope the in-game models are getting touched up. They look... pretty cruddy, like they're made of clay. Also DUBSTEP because MURRIKA.
I think we seriously need some more information/clarification on this. That Tweet from the alleged leaker stating that this is "Sega's vision for the Sonic franchise moving forward" is extremely worrying. It almost sounds like something someone attending the event would have directly heard from Sega. Right now we're all assuming that this show and game are a one-off and isolated event that will involve a new series of a TV show and a game to promote it; but what if this is literally it? As in Sonic Boom is Sonic now and will be for the rest of the decade? I don't want to make anyone's head spin but we seriously need some hard details from Sega. I personally don't care about this if Sonic Team is still working on a true next generation Sonic game for PS4 and Xbox One as seen in that image that leaked a while back that is entirely separate from Sonic Boom; but the information we're getting so far including the original image from the announcement of this event itself does hint towards this truly being Sonic's permanent new direction. I was worried when Lost World was announced that Sega had initiated some kind of shift into turning Sonic into a purely children's focused franchise and Sonic Boom just adds more weight to that theory. Anyone further information coming out of the event yet?
This is where I respectfully bow out of the series. It was a good run Sega, but this has almost nothing I liked about Sonic up until now. Thanks for everything.
Any attempt from me to discuss this will just be repeated sighs, so I'll post this once for now to leave this here.
OH GOD Chris Senn is Lead Level Implementer at Big Red Button?! He's been working there since the end of 2012?!?!?!
nailed it on topic: the only good point is tails model, the rest doesn't fit in the sonic franchise. about the game looks good but if this turns into Sonic Heroes 2 I will keep my expectation low
Okay, okay...Sonic is a Japanese franchise. When has anything from the western series gotten into the main games, beyond Robotnik? Spinball was the closest...
XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD I literally just had the most ridiculous laugh I've had all year. This is just...this is unreal.
oh god back to Robotnik again please please please the show IS being made by the french, who never changed his name in the first place. I can dream damnit!!!!!
