So far I found the following bugs: - There's some ceiling edges in Act 1 that the player can jump on and can run on the ceiling then up the wall. - When I finished Act 1 as Sonic, the screen kept scrolling up slowly. - When I finished Act 1 as Tails, he.. died. - In Act 3, there's a spot where two platforms on circular guided paths pass by each other; if you stand on the second one as it goes through the first ones platform, the player glitches off it (and into the spikes) Also for some reason the game lagged pretty badly, but got worse with each act. Might just be my cheap laptop though.
@Shoemanbundy it's there now. man... I'm stupid @JaxTH y-yeah... I think it sounds very unoriginal, but for what I've got planned for the story, it's something that you would never thought about @Sparks I thought I've already fixed that dying glitch was fixed º-º anyway, I'll take a look later for the slowdown, did you played it in full screen? the game goes really slow here if it's on full screen, but if it's not, it runs normally, even with the highest resolution option
When I finished Act 1 as Sonic and didn't go into the big ring, I died too. Is Sonic supposed to hit the warp orb in there?

To be honest, "Before the Sequel" as a single title sounded a little awkward, but when you have two games, one called "before" and one called "after" it sounds a lot more deliberate and/or planned. edit: This demo reignited my love for 3D Blast Saturn's music. As if Generations' friend mission remix wasn't enough already.
Two other things: 1) In Act 2, in a cavern section, there is a single rotating platform that you use to get under a wall without hitting spikes. Above it is a small area that has nothing in it... maybe an item box should go there? 2) You forgot to re-initialize values after beating Act 3 - this results in bringing a Bubble Shield to Act 1. All in all, I'm liking what I'm seeing so far!
Liked it! I had the same problem as Techokami(#2), and those periodic flashes at Act 3 weren't good for my eyes... My head hurts after that act. :v: I'm gonna go check the prequel now.
I saw the word story, I love Sonic stories. I do hope it's a good story :3 I kinda missed BTS, so I'll have to go play that and see the story from there .
Played the demo, really cool! Also nice to see your bubble shield in the game (Got a better name for it?), also my god the Spike Shield, I'm in love... Also I hope there's a better way to get the good ending in this game, I didn't get it my first playthrough in BTS, not only that but I have to play the game all over again. Anyway glad to see you're working on it, and I do love that title! :D
I'm planning to do 5 ending the bad ending (...) the chaos emeralds ending (if you have collected all 7) the time points ending (beating the game with more than 0 time points) and the good ending (doing both of those things) if you are the speedrunner type of player or/and the one how likes to explore everything, you will not be disappoint btw, you can get the emeralds in one run and in the other one get the time points ending and I'll also make a way to disable super sonic @Sparks I still haven't tested it in other computers btw @Techokami umm.. didnt know about that in the values, thanks and the blank space was for avoiding a glitch, I may add a monitor there anyway @Falk hehe, thanks I always thought calling it "After the Sequel" would be very unoriginal
Hey if you give us a quick summary of the plot maybe we can come up a name based on that? I still think Before The Sequel needs to be kept but shorted down to its "BTS" anagram.
It's basically a mix of Wood Zone and Carnival Night Zone with a technology theme. Just reminds me of a Techno Carnival really. Still nice though.
