    Big anniversary today...
    It's Sonic the Hedgehog CD's 30th anniversary!

Originally released in Japan on September 23, 1993, Sonic CD is (as most of you know) the only Sonic game for the Sega (Mega-)CD, and the game that introduced Amy Rose and Metal Sonic to the masses. It's by far one of the most unique games in the franchise, and while it's definitely pretty divisive compared to Sonic 1, 2, and 3K, I still love it. The time travel mechanic's something I'd love to see return in a future game.

SegaSonic the Hedgehog's precise release date isn't known, but it's apparently sometime this month - at least, according to Sega.

    Ten years ago today…

Sonic Lost World came out. Originally released on October 18th, 2013 in Europe before rolling out elsewhere later in the month, it was the first of a three-game exclusivity deal with Nintendo. It's probably the best of the three… even though I would be hard-pressed to call it "good".

I think Lost World has a handful of decent levels and a great soundtrack, and you can see some of its DNA in Frontiers. It's not a totally worthless experience, but largely just a boring one marred by inconsistency and a lack of focus.

Slice of life visual novel, coming soon...?
And it’s still one of my favourite 3d entry to this day! Lost World is seriously fun for me haha

Y'all missed the anniversary of the best 8-bit Sonic game, Sonic Chaos?! Blasphemy I tell you! Anyways Sonic Chaos is 30 years old everywhere as of yesterday.

Eh, I didn't enjoy Sonic Chaos that much. The levels were pretty short (likely due to it being so easy to get warped to the special stage), and felt weird. I'd rather replay Sonic 2 (SMS).

Chaos is a pretty nice game to zone out to, pun partially intended. It's not as nerve-wrecking as 2 is to me, haha.
