Sonic and the Black Knight

The sword in the 'Next Month' image is different from the one Sonic is holding.

It looks like Marth's sword, the Falchion.

And we all know that talk of a remake of Fire Emblem 1 has been going around.

 

I'll bet this was made to piss off the fans by some good artist. But... The art looks too real to be fake. Hmm...

 

I'm still trying to associate that sword with something, I think I've ruled out it being the Falchion, but it's definitely not the sword Sonic is holding, either.

 

It could have been a completely unrelated sword, but still meant to represent the sword motif in this game. It's not that farfetched.

 

Don't you dare EVER EVER EVER compare the shitty Sonic franchise to something as beautiful as Kingdom Hearts EVER again.

Kingdom Hearts sucks ass, Why is it liked at all? The only reason I know off the top of my head is Cloud is in it, and as we all know, everyone who likes FF7 is pretty much gay for Cloud and cries over Aerith Gainsborough with the slightest hint of mentioning her name. So mixing a raging bedhead with a 7 year old's RPG is the best way to go, Mirite?

I've said something like this in a couple places but I think it bears repeating:


The sword gimmick will likely have little to do with the game's actual playing. Most of the game will likely be on-rails a la SATSR seeing as how this is almost certainly a sequel in that now-series.

It IS possible given that this is a Wii game that boss battles will use a swordplay gimmick using the Wiimote, however. I just can't see sword use being organic in SATSR style gameplay.

 

Or...HEY...A Far Fetched idea! This game, if its real, will come out, and get high ratings across the board, ala MGS4 and Brawl. And all of you will be like, "OGM SEGA SURPRISED US LOLE" and we can all laugh at this thread and have tea and crumpets.

Yeah. This game just smells of fail. BUT, I'd be proud to swallow my words and say I am wrong for laughing at this game IF, and ONLY IF, it doesn't suck. I mean, a hedgehog with guns was a dumb idea. BUT WHAT ABOUT A HEDGEHOG WITH SWORDS. THE OPPOSITE OF GUNS. If they reverse the concept, the ratings will surely be reversed! Right!?
