Still looks pointless. Also ONM contradicts itself.

or something like that I'll wait until some people play the game so I can see some videos myself for how good it actually is. I have little hope for this game, maybe it will be put together fairly well, but it's still a stupid concept. Sure, Unleashed wasn't perfect, but something about that game just impressed me. I'm not getting that same feeling here.

I want to know if it still has the "charge up jump".

They'll obviously take SatSR problems into consideration. They based it off that engine, it was a good engine, it just had a bunch of issues <_<

I deffinetly want to know that same thing. Does it still use the charge up jump, since that thing caused one too many probelms.
Just the basic controls is what I want to know. How do you use the sword, and whats jump etc.

Also, theres collectables that replace the soul gauge. So I'm guessing they've added a new special ability, if so, what is it.

I want to know if Sonic still bounces of walls when he hit them.

Physics is not like this, you know. Usually you stop when you hit a wall, or at worst you got of bounced a little.

Hoestly people, enough moaning about how every new sonic game is a rip off. Why is it, that whenever a new game comes out, someone has to compare it to an old game no one really cared about, or a major title, that shares a single similarity. Whats to say SATBK is a rip of that rocket knight game. The only thing in common is the use of a sword. So equally you could say SATBK is rip off every game the includes knight themed sword play. Seriously now!

I remember that being quite a common complaint at the time. I just don't think you're going to see many people still popping up and complaining about the same stuff after nearly a decade. Most of those folks have moved on at this point, and any newer fans are going to be people who like it or else they wouldn't be fans.

Just being able to confirm or deny that the controls are as bad as Secret Rings would be enough for me at this point, but obviously try and get as much as you can.

When Sega sends me my free copy of the game for winning the art contest, I'm going to play it so that I'm absolutely sure it's as disappointing as I believe it will be, snap it in half, write down that link on one of the halves and mail it back to Sega.

I'm just sick of Sonic coverage. It's all the same.

When game comes out

"WUT WER WE THINKIN? DIS GAEM SUX"

and then it just gets better, with the annoying fagots commenting about the same shit over and over again. We get it, you want Sonic to die, because you think then the series will die with honor or some kind of bullshit like that and then you don't have to troll around Sonic stories saying how you wish Sonic would die. Too bad, not going to happen, because the series still makes profit. If you want to go and convince a game series to die, go rant on about how Crash Bandicoot sucks. There is a character with little past and little future.

I have little hope for this game, but after reading the same cut and paste shit since Shadow the Hedgehog, I don't care what the general gaming community, the game coverage sites, or even what the Sonic fans say.

I also love the people who, no matter how good the game might be, hate the idea of having fun with a Sonic game so much that they basically force themselves to hate it, because if by some chance they like it, then they'll be shunned from the community of gaming nerds because they are playing something that's not generic Halo clone 26. And now that we have that stupid TSSZ article, claiming that Sonic Team doesn't give a shit (Which was 2 years old when it was reported), we are going to hear that crap until the end of time. LOL SAWNIK TAEM DUSNT LIEK U AND HAETS THEYRE JOBS! I don't know, because it looks like they had a lot of fun making Unleashed. For once the main thing stopping the gaming being good was just stupid ideas (which they must have thought were fun or something), because it was a pretty solid try.

Also Sonic Cycle. that should go away too, no matter how much it applied to Sonic 06 (and sort of Unleashed. Only a couple places really slammed the game down, and a good chunk of the fans seemed pleased)

Um, considering the game has only a marginally higher gamerankings score than Sonic 2006, I'd say more than a couple places really slammed the game down.

^Jumping to conclusions is rather annoying. This game could be ok, I just think it's stupid (The gameplay may be unknown, but the gimmick isn't). Maybe it will end up being like Unleashed. Bad idea executed decently.

Well Gamespot dragged it down quite a bit. Alot of the reviews seemed to be in the 60s range (Metacritic has the game at a 60 out of 44 reviews). About as many places gave the game above a 70 as places that gave the game below a 55. It all averaged out in the end to what the game deserved (Although I though it was going to be a tad bit higher). Least Sonic's levels were fun.

Is not about the sword, is about the armor and the sword, is funny when you think about it, it would be more funny if they added a rocket powerup to the super armor, also Rocket Knight Adventures is really a great game, to bad it was one of does 90's Sonic "ripoff".

I for one think the armor is going to be a common occurrence that is gained simply by filling your bar with those yellow orbs rather than an actual super-form for the last boss. In any event, I'm optimistic about this one. If nothing else, it's not going to do the violently shifting play style thing that absolutely killed Unleashed for me.

I never understood this logic. The Sparkster series was only ever a "ripoff" of Sonic in the sense that both were mascot-driven platformers, and Sonic certainly wasn't the first of those.
