At least it's better than Shadow's "WHO ARE YOU-AND HOW DO YOU KNOW MY NAME?" from the first game.

 

hahahaha was that actually a quote from the first game? I never played as Shadow so I wouldn't have known. That's awful (Actually now that I think about it the first game's quotes were even worse).

 

Adder's Lair has problems on Expert and Hard. Because the cars are so fast, on one of the jumps (where you go in a serpent mouth) you can very easily clip the ceiling in the mouth, stopping you dead. There's a few areas like this in the game just don't account for the faster cars.

Also, you can break the Nights track on Expert. In the final area when you are in the water, you can get speeds by trick boosting that propel you right over segements, and through one of them big rocks. Both of these problems were while I was playing as Eggman.

 

Just dropping to say that Alex Kidd is now unlocked and playable in Europe.

 

Ugh, damnit. Sumo. You got another problem with the Wii U version. So Alex Kidd unlocks Christmas day, and of all the three versions, Alex Kidd does not come with any of his mods, including the Genesis/Mega Drive mod. Other versions give you all the mods immediately.

 

I don't think that's the case. I've been using Alex Kidd right now and even though he's Star Leveled (max level) and has all mods unlocked, when I finished races with him, he actually started leveling up and started unlocking mods. The Wii U version may have it right, while the other versions are bugged.

Strangeness.

Alex Kidd has the Genesis mod?

NiGHTS and Reala still got a Saturn mod all to themselves, I don't see why they couldn't get the narrator to say "Master System Mod" and make a pretty logo if they already did so for all the other characters.

 

Yeah, I hate that too. Already bitched on the SEGA forums when Alex Kidd was first leaked though.

 

Using that logic shouldn't Amy and Metal Sonic have a "Sega CD" mod?

 

I was playing the Wii U version with some friends, and during a Battle Race in Career Mode, after one of us got eliminated, the game started making a very loud, screeching noise. It sounded like the screaming of tortured souls, it was pretty weird.

Is there something wrong with Alex Kidd? At least on the Wii U version?
It seems like sometimes he'll just simply stop a short distance after the race starts up, never finishing. I dunno why that's happening.

 

I'm seeing the same problem as well on the WiiU version. He usually just stops dead midtrack and I see him on the subsequent laps. Perhaps it's an allegory about how his career was stopped dead by Sonic, since I'm usually using the blue blur in the game =P

But seriously, I hope they sort that.

 

God damn Sumo your game is buggy as shit. It's fun but damn, a Sonic game hasn't been this buggy since Sonic 06. At the very least these are glitches and not design flaws, the former can be fixed later on (Although this game should have spent another 2 or 3 months in testing)

 

Eh, I wouldn't call it Sonic '06 level. I'd say it's more slightly under Bethesda-level glitchiness. Some items miss when they shouldn't, be it me or the computer, and occasionally characters stop, but otherwise it's a fun game to play through.

Once I finally manage to update my WiiU without an error message popping up at the start, who wants to race? I need to improve on it and what better way then against people whom think?

 

Some parts don't necessarily feel as buggy as they do poorly play-tested. Like hitting the roof in Chilly Castle, Dream Valley and Adders Lair- it's completely beyond your control if you don't slow down to a snails pace. Sumo have delivered a brilliant game here- all the content is there and what works properly is a real treat. But the edges are rough like sand paper.

 

It happened to me several times too. I told about it some pages ago. Makes me quit the current game as soon as this sound from hell starts to try making my brain explode. And I have the PS3 version.

 

If we're sharing glitches, my copy just froze in the middle of a race, had a weird purple/pink streak in the middle and static. Still stuck around after I turned it off and on. This game is buggy as hell. At least Sonic 06 never froze in the middle of the game :v: Game's still really fun though
