Sega: Biting off of Nintendo's efforts since... Wait. When did that start happening? To be fair though, Sega conceived of this first. It just looks bad. Apparently, they pulled it off much better than MK7
So it's Diddy Kong racing only instead of choosing when you want to use certain things your car will just transform kind of like it does in Mario Kart 7? I approve 100%. It takes the good parts of Diddy Kong Racing and Mario Kart 7 and combines them into one.
Same here. Aw man, watching that trailer made me really excited. This game is looking fantastic, plus that music.. I cannot wait for this game. I'm really happy it's coming to PS3. Here's hoping the PC version has actual online play this time.
I was just brainstorming of a racing game where this exact gameplay happens, inspired by DKR and MK7 in fact. Back to the drawing board. I'd like to see how they keep players from flying a whole course; that's something I couldn't figure out.
It looks like you either automatically transform when you reach certain areas of the track, or you can choose which transformation to take for a section of track. Or maybe a combination of both.
The theme tune is dubstep... God help us all. Seriously though, looks neat. I may pick this one up, as I passed on the original. There doesn't appear to be a PC version listed yet, but we'll see.
Okay, if Vector-Man isn't in this game, sUmo obviously can't see the most obvious character to use in a racing game with TRANSFORMATIONS. Don't disappoint me, Sumo.
Seconded. He can be his own vehicle. Here Sumo, I even got you started - before the first game came out.
Apparently Ristar and Vectorman are playable characters. Also there will be a Steam version (here's hoping for actual online play)
Source or I'm calling bluff. And you know Sega, the PC version will be announced later (only recently have they started caring about the PC mind you)
Source is a source a certain fluffy kittens site seems to have. I'm kinda taking it with a grain of salt but who knows?
*Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Collection - we were saved from silly marketing groups on that one though I noticed that since my last post they took out the word "Sega" from this game. I don't like weighting these things towards Sonic - I don't think the franchise deserves it and if they're aiming to balance things 50:50 like last game, this must mean they have plans to throw more stupid Sonic characters in.
Oh shit you're right. It's just Sonic & All-stars racing. Damn it that's the opposite of what needs to be done Sega.
IGN said that there will be a PC version on digital download services. Ristar and Vectorman are just rumors at this point.
Wa HOAH, didn't see this one coming. Sonic Kart/Boat/Plane Racing? Its like DKR has come back from the grave! Also these new tracks and characters are going to be excellent. I sense a purchase in my future.
YouTube video soon I hope. I hate going to IGN, Gamepsot, and etc. because they slow my computer down for no reason.
Sega lists PC Digital Download on their US Blog. Let me know how online works for PC and I may consider.
Here's hoping Joe Musashi makes the line up this time. Hell, he already has two "vehicles". Also, it wouldn't be the first time a horse was featured in a Sega racer.
