  1. Nice one, EuroGamer gave the game a 9/10 and had pretty much brilliant things to say about it!

I duuno where you are, but it's only £24.99 on

Thats pretty budget if you ask me, surely having £25 of disposable income dosen't make me rich lol

There's a demo for the game on Xbox Live, at least here in Europe. Not sure if it's up in the US.

    Also launch trailer:

Demo is up on US XBLM, no PSN one yet. Downloading now.

EDIT: Played the demo. Beat the Hard challenge for Panzer Dragoon, but not Golden Axe. This game is going right to the top of my list of games to get this season. Still need to play the PS3 version to decide at this point though. I have more controllers for 360, but I don't think I want to pay for online anymore, seeing as how infrequently I use it and how little improvement it is over PSN in what I do play. Decisions, decisions.

PC (wasn't going to get it before, until I saw the amazing TF character), Wii U, and Vita if it's truly the same as the HD/console versions.

It may be the same demo from Sonic Boom. I remember playing it and after a sloppy first lap of adjusting to the new controls absolutely dominating the rest of the race.

    Just like at Sonic Boom I'm good at cars and boats but suck total ass at flying. Still managed to come in first place with Sonic on Panzer Dragoon though. Though at Boom I used Amy and can't pick her here. ;_;

You'd think at least Ralph would be playable in the demo like Banjo was in the first. He was in my race at least.

    EDIT: Fuck the Hot-Rod power-up.

Okay guys, okay, let me level with you for a sec.

    This game is pretty awesome.

But the menus fucking bloooow aaaaaaass. Multiplayer options are a serious mess. Also, if you play the Out Run track, the ocean noise will fucking haunt you until you reset the game for some reason.

But the actual game's pretty awesome.

I suck ass with flying as well, so you're not alone JaxTH XD im mostly using Metal Sonic now, but tried Knuckles and yea...totally diferent than the first one but having a blast! trying World Tour and some missions are hellish though. But game is awesome and I love it

I just realized that the sound effect that plays when you are clicking stuff after the races is from GunStar Heroes.

Well screw you Amazon and Royal mail once again, can't post something for release =/

Played some of the demo though, pretty fun, like mentioned by other people, the flying is somewhat harder to do, it's that extra axis lol Really wanna get the whole thing and get all the characters. please please please arrive tommrow for weekend play

But just playing the challenges, Boost challenge. Bronze - easy first try, Silver - easy first try, Gold - WTF where is my time?! this is impossible! >_<

If your a smug shmuck and wanna chime in saying its a doddle and I'm totally ham handed, here's your chance lol

The problem with flying is that when I do a hard turn it tends to veer up. This screwed me over like a million times during the After Burner ring flying challenge. On the actual racing courses it's not so bad since the flying segments are usually open enough for me to turn pretty slowly so I can steer it okay.

The OutRun sound effect issue is surely an homage to the backwards compatibility errors in OutRun 2. :v:

Got the game yesterday for ps3, up to the last career mode world. Ristar as the flag dude was cool, and I wasn't expecting so many lesser-known games to have tracks!

Very happy with the game. Flying takes a bit to get used to do but its expected, adding another dimension.

Mine arrived this afternoon, played it for about 6 hours today :)

It's a decent game but good GOD is it harder than the last one. I've been doing the World Tour and some of the challenges - even at B class - have taken me over half an hour to clear. The JSR-course's Drift Challenge and the Golden Axe lava-course race are two especially to be singled out for attention as points where the game stopped being fun and started being painful until I finally lucked out and cleared them.

I think its a bit harder simply because everyone is heavier.

So S0L presented a challenge over at the SEGA forums regarding potential DLC characters. The challenge basically is if they could bring a list of three characters that over 1000 people want each (including proof), he'll present the results to SEGA and try to get it done. After much debate and voting on who should actually be allowed to be voted on, + - including much mud-slinging on whether or not Hatsune Miku should even be eligible in the first place,   they came up with a list of the tpp 22 people that were wanted and set up online petitions to present to S0l by the deadline of December 1st. I come to you folks to potentially participate in who you want to have the potential of being DLC for this game (OP in spoilers to reduce the overall length of this post).

    Based Steve.

So, it's actually pretty simple. I have prepared petition pages that correspond to frequently suggested characters for everyone interested to support the game and their favorite character to vote. The characters are selected on account of not being from series already being represented in the form of playable racers, such as Sonic, Skies of Arcadia and Jet Set Radio. Let us get the established rules out of the way first.

-Up to three (3) characters may be presented to S0L.
-Each character must meet a requirement of interest from one thousand (1000) unique people. In other words, a minimum of 1000 votes must be placed for the character to qualify.
-There is no limit to which characters you would like to vote on, but only one vote is allowed per character.
-Alternate and/or duplicated votes are strictly discouraged. Suspicions from S0L may void the character(s)'s entry altogether.
-The deadline for the movement is marked on December 1st.

I would also like to note that on the event that more than three characters are qualified, an arbitrary selection along with the height of the associated vote counts will rank their priority. Characters from SEGA franchises not yet tangibly represented in the All-Stars Racing games will be put on the front on the decisive selection. Negociation on the matter throughout the campaign is heavily advised to prevent possible biased pickings (because we're a pretty vocal and agitated forum community and whatnot, hey, bear with me here), but people involved will be strongly requested to debate and present arguments over the matter in a clean and constructive manner. More on this in due time. will be used to collect the votes, since the service is very safe and efficient. The requirement for an address is confidential to every participant and only the state/country will be displayed to the public. For those scared by the prerequesite, I again guarantee that the steps for voting are perfectly safe. But in the event that people end up getting assaulted worldwide for voting for their favorite characters in a video game, I will ultimately assume responsibility and mark past mess-ups about the lack of a new Ecco game to blame. I am a man of justice, after all.

    Without further delay,

    -Alis Landale (Phantasy Star)

    -Opa-Opa (Fantasy Zone)

    -Space Harrier (Space Harrier)

    -Ristar (Ristar The Shooting Star)

    -Vectorman (Vectorman)

    -Bonanza Bros. (Bonanza Bros.)

    -Axel Stone (Streets of Rage)

    -Blaze Fielding (Streets of Rage)

-ToeJam & Earl (ToeJam & Earl)

    -Sakura Shinguuji (Sakura Taisen)

    -Chu Chus (ChuChu Rocket!)

    -Ryo Hazuki (Shenmue)

    -Arle Nadja (Puyo Puyo)

    -Amitie (Puyo Puyo)

-Billy Hatcher (Billy Hatcher & The Giant Egg)

    -Welkin (Valkyria Chronicles)

    -Selvaria (Valkyria Chronicles)

    -Segata Sanshiro

    -Phantom R (Rythm Thief)

    -Ash (Hell Yeah!)

    -Bayonetta (Bayonetta)

    -Hatsune Miku (Vocaloid/Project DIVA)

(Thanks to Vyse for helping with the petition pages.) Also contact me if I missed certain notorious mentions as fast as possible.

And lastly but most importantly, participate cleanly and have fun! Vote counts will be checked back and posted periodically to keep up with the progress.

Participate if you want, as this has the potential to influence on who we want as DLC.
