Opening the possibility that they went and made him a full race character.
Would you unlock him by collecting the hidden Emeralds on the tracks and win first?
...that actually sounds pretty realistic, atleast if they're doing that sorta "adventure mode" thing that's suppose to be similar to Mario Galaxy games or something.
I guess I'm the only one sort of relieved that they didn't just reuse Super Sonic again for his All Star Move. I haven't seen the new move yet (youtube is acting up), but I wouldn't mind something like the Light Speed Attack (SA1-2). Same goes for Shadow; I hope his all-star move is Chaos Blast, or Chaos Control, in stead of just Super Shadow.
So, if you want the SASASRT Wii U press kit, go here and write this:
Look for it and download, There's some interesting stuff, like the cover(s):
Warning: Very big pics!
I'm rather perturbed by how Wii U's game pad is more of a distraction to the racer's focus than an assistance. I'm still trying to wrap my head around how you can use that thing for creative gameplay, but I can think of a cool few ideas for racing. For instance, when do you take your eyes off the road to look down? People check gas, radio, change gears, push buttons, and (for some cars) look at the GPS. Just making a standard dashboard like a car's and slapping that on the gamepad would add to the fun stress and multitasking skill it takes to operate simple things you're at least somewhat comfortable using. I personally think the GPS is a bit much since you gotta look a bit to get any real use from it, hence a plethora of distracted accidents. BUT If I glance down every so often to fire items, activate boosts, or playing with SEGA's soundtracks, I'd be challenged and feel comfortable.
I think the Wii U's onto something with this gamepad, but I'm still a little worried they themselves don't know how to use it best yet. My two cents.
Interview about the sound direction and some samples of it... cool stuff.
I like all three remixes, even the Outrun dubstep remix. The Golden Axe one is probably my favorite though.
Holy shit. Golden fucking axe. SOUNDS AWESOME
Oh wow, that music is great! The Golden Axe one sounds fantastic, I love it :D Such a nostalgic piece of music, I grew up playing that game from a very young age.
I like it all. Outrun Dubstep was enjoyable.
Not that I'm knocking their sound work, but I wonder if custom soundtrack support will be enabled on PS3 this time around.
I'll bank on "No", however.
Is there no new theme song for the game, like "So Much More"?
By the way, since I never played the first game that much, where & how exactly was "So Much More" used?
They used it for the BGM when you finish a Grand Prix, and the full song's played during the credits. There's been a dubstep song in the trailers for Transformed, I'm wondering whether or not that may be the ASRT theme.
Apparently it's just an instrumental version of a song not related to the game, like the songs in some of the Sonic Generations trailers.
The trailer song, for anyone curious.
I hope that guitar heavy remix of the menu theme of the first all stars racing who was used on a Sonic 4 ep 2 trailer is used here somewhere. I absolutely love it.
Does anyone know the music from this trailer? I know it's probably unrelated to the game like the one above so just curious if it is also a song already out there:
Is this one, albeit a bit speed up
New minisite, and we have a new track:
HNGGGGGGGGGGG SKY SANCTUARY
Now THAT'S a good level from Generations to use. So now from the Sonic side we have Seaside Hill, Starlight Carnival, Sky Sanctuary, and the Death Egg. I almost approve of this 100%.
Oh and I've said it once and I'll say it 1000x more. Toothy grins on Sonic DO NOT WORK EVER
