It's a shame. I really liked Banjo last time...and it would had fitted perfectly in this game. Also, it doesn't looks like RARE is using him anymore. Can I question where did you find that quote?
From a post on the Stadium boards. Sorry, should've mentioned that before. Rare's currently using Banjo for Paid Minecraft 360 DLC Bullshit instead. I hate to be bitter because it's actually kinda neat to see Rare's stable being put to use and 4J Studios are pretty cool guys, but in the context of no Banjo here and the franchise dead untill proven otherwise, it's just salt in the wound.
It probably would have been at the SSMB. Let's just say one member wouldn't give up on the notion of Banjo in the game for the past dew months. Hope that quells it.
In case you missed it, that build has LAN functionality for multiplayer, and every person on the floor I talked to gave me all sorts of confusing answers regarding splitscreen. Most of them aren't even sure that there'll be splitscreen at all. But didn't the WiiU version have up to five players?
Yeah, it's been confirmed that there's split screen for 4 players,, and a extra 5th player if you're on Wii U. A lot of the reps SEGA has at these things are clueless.
After seeing that video I am looking forward to this even more than before. That level has parts that look like they are right out of theme park ride. The graphics and colours are fantastic. Water sections remind me of Hydro Thunder :D Can't wait to play this.
I think it's kind of silly that even the boat and plane modes have drift boosting capabilities. I especially had trouble drift boosting with the plane.

Been up for AGES on UK Amazon, £29.99 for PS3/360, £24.66 for Vita and 3DS. Oh, and £20.99 on PC. The Europe Limited Edition on Amazon for PS3/360 versions is only £3 at £32.99 and a mere 33p more on Vita for £24.99. Worth it I'd say XD
If you buy at Spain's GAME, the limited edition for Xbox360/Ps3 is 10 € cheaper than the regular version, actually. I already ordered X360 and Nintendo 3DS limited editions.
3DS has a limited edition too? I thought it was just PS3, 360 and Vita? At least that's what that old SEGA blog said.
Sega Blog only announced the X360,PS3 and Vita version, for unknown reasons, but Steve Lycett said on the forums that all platforms were going to get special editions, and 3DS limited edition is on sale there ( I think in other places too)
I don't think they hav editched him. he was the main attraction on the first game, and there are rumours of a shenmue HD release, so it's a no brainer to have him again in. I'm more worried about Opa Opa...he was my favourite racer in the first game, and now everybody seems to think he is the flagman...I hope he is still playable ( and that Out run's flagman IS the flagman. C'mon, he was created for that role!)

Guessing that level is level 1 from how dull it looks. However, I have to ask, why did they decide to replace the speed shoes with generic purple arrows (Same goes for a lot of items that have been generified since the first game). Also what does a giant octopus have to do with Ocean Palace?
