Sonic Adventure DX is coming to PC!!!!

I can't wait to see some Hacks of SADX PC.

 

Dude, this has been known for at least 2 months. Trash for violation of rule 2.

I've even got the full Japanese version (with English voices and text) on my PC...

 

Umm, SupperTails66, that was the Japaneese version that was said/released. This is the American version that is being released.

Plus, we never knew about the American demo before :D

 

He never mentioned that it was the American version. I thought he meant the UK version...

 

The demo is in japanese. The same demo from 2-3 months ago.

I've heard that the one for the PC is buggy, slow, still no updated graphics, and that it really sucks. Sega can do better than this.

You read that review on Gamefaqs, didn't you? It's really a great game, with better graphics. It just has some VERY high system requirments... I had to buy a new graphics card, but now it runs just like the Gamecube version on my PC!

 

There's a GameCube version of SADX? Only GameCube Sonic game I know of is Sonic Adventure 2 Battle.

 

Yeah I've had a demo for a long time. Problem is you need windows media player 9!

I know there are 2 demos around, one with 3 characters & one with 6. I have the 6 one. If you get 200 rings somethings ment to happen, anyone know what?

All right, fire away.

 

Right then. My friend Tilas Trinity composed this review after downloading the game.

First off, for those who don't know, Sega is making SADX for the PC. You you heard me. They're esentially copying the GC version and slapping it on PC. Yay for them eh? This Demo mode include 3 levels, Emerald Coast for Sonic, Windy Valley for Tails, and Red Mountian for Knuckles. Far as I can tell, that's it for this lil demo. Anyways, on to the reveiw.

LAYOUT:
Different buttons, Japanese text, other then that, no change. This might change in the final but for now, BLAH.

LEVELS:
EXCATLY the same as the DC version. NO change whatsoever. Can do the same shortcuts, the items are the same places, hell, the damn animals are almost in the same enemies! Yeeha.

GRAPHICS:
Absolutly no anti-aliasing, so it looks totally pixilated. Sure, points for the restyled SA2 lookign characters, but who cares? Tails looked far better in SA1 IMHO. Nothing new or interesting. The BG was black half the time, until you closed in on it and it slowly appeared (reminds me of the old NES games) The BG looked even WORSE then the foreground.

GAMEPLAY:
Choppy at best. I doubt it was my computer (coulda been though), but the game ran SLOW and CHOPPY. Very slow reaction times to the buttons being pressed, and sterring the character was like steering a freight truck- and I was using a GAME PAD!

SOUND:
Sound effects and a tiny bit of voices, can't expect much else for a demo. Tails going "EY!" every few seconds remind me of the Fonz...

OVERALL:
While this IS a demo and you can't expect perfection, this is nothing more then a quick rip from SADX (which in turn, a rip of SA) Nothing new, nothing interesting.

MY OPINION:
Total waste of 70MB on my HD. I think I'll go play the DC version now and let this ROT in my Recycle Bin.

Game sucks on PC. I would suggest that you people should get it for GC or download it for DC. I have been playing the Japanese version (English voices and text) for the past two to three months now. Omg...The controls are terrible... like you can never actually go straight using a keyboard. Like... sometimes Sonic would be running upside down a split second... and then if you were to turn he starts running on the side of a straight wall... especially the last few levels...this also makes the last boss a bitch... Super Sonic is damn hard to control... argh... the game gets a 6/10 on PC in my opinion.

 

Hey the games alright for the PC! All you need is Direct X 9.0 and Windows Media Player 9! :o It works just like the DC version, apart from some strange controls. Probably better with a joypad. The review is wrong, it doesn't have japaneese text (Well my Demo doesn't) and it has hidden games in it, I think it's got the old Genisis/Mega Drive games on it as well as GG/MS. It also has much better grapics than the DC. ^_^

Whatever demo Tilas Trinity is reviewing it's NOTHING like my demo.
