Well I woke up at a perfect time. :v: Hopefully someone will upload it to Youtube (don't like Gamespots video player much). ...is it me or is the video so fuzzy and blurry I can't make out a thing?
Here we go: http://www.gamespot.com/sonic-the-hedgehog-4-episode-2/videos/gameplay-trailer-sonic-the-hedgehog-4-episode-2-6350932/
Let the bitching COMMENCE! Not from me, though, except for + - GRRBOOSTERS Also, spring 2012 release. Maybe that leaked release date was accurate?
Everything still looks kinda floaty. Any changes they've made to physics aren't really too visible at this point....
Um... It looks slightly better in motion? I dunno, it feels like it's actively trying to hide any physics flaws. Also, why is there an enemy that takes more than one hit to kill, despite looking incredibly easy to kill with the homing attack? Now they're just repeating the mistake from Heroes and Shadow.
Yay trailer works. Woah looks awesome :O. Sonic 3 those spinning wheels are there too, to open doors :O http://www.gamespot.com/sonic-the-hedgehog-4-episode-2/videos/gameplay-trailer-sonic-the-hedgehog-4-episode-2-6350932/
I think it looks great! I don't really care too much about the physics myself, as long as the level design and bosses are alright. Anyway, I doubt we will be able to tell how it plays until we... play it. I just hope the music is better. That's the only thing that I'm still worried about.
... Uh... How do I say it in words that people can understand? OH MY BLOODY GIANT OMNIPOTENT HOLY GOD OF ALL THINGS AWESOME. SEGA, you've got yourself an absolute buy :v: I fell in love with that song, and with the Carnival stage, it seems that you chase Metal Sonic in the WHOLE Carnival stage, kind of a homage to Knuckles Chaotix. EDIT: Just noticed the Spring release, seems that the May release date was true after all.
I don't know what to say. The clips move from one to the other so fast that I can't work out if they fixed the physics (like the momentum of jumping when releasing the directional pad). The new Badniks are sweet I got to commend them for that but overall it really doesn't look like there are any major improvements from episode 1. I really wish that they went with the art direction of Generations instead of this.
I currently don't have sound as I'm at school, but is the music original and not one of SEGA's "epic" songs used in the other trailers? The trailer makes it look fun but there's no way to determine how the physics are from the trailer. It certainly looks better than what we got with Episode I though. EDIT: Homing attack and speed boosters still prevalent, however it does look fun. I can't get too excited until I get a genuine idea of the level design and physics however.
