You can never take control of any jumps you make from a spindash, with any character, in any of the (Mega Drive) classics. That was just part of the gameplay.
Spoiler Yeah, I guess the DEMkII going out of power it's just a cliffhanger itself, that's the only theory I can come up...
So much for not attempting to find out the ending. Oh well, my own fault. Anybody know when Xbox Live updates UK time?
https://vimeo.com/42219611 Straight from the desk of my anus, me and a friend are blunt about Sonic 4's problems in the bedroom.
Heads up: The save file from the beta transfers directly to the final. So if you want a gazillion lives thanks to the gimme 99 rings button, go nuts, then transfer over to the final.
If I had to hazard a guess, it'd be 10am~12 noon on Wednesday. As for me, I played Beta 8. It was alright. Was tempted to pick up both Ep1&2 on Steam for Ep Metal, but given the prices, and that I have Ep 1 100%'d on the 360 I'll pick it up on the 360. Will I buy it tomorrow though? No. Will I follow the herd into getting into a youtube video for buying it twice possibly. No. I think the fact that they're pulling wool over our eyes in terms of us actually finding the left over audio cutscene is appaulling. I'm glad I spent my MSP on Paramore DLC for Rock Band 3 than save it for the 1200 average that is Episode 2 & Metal. In short, if steam put Ep1&2 on sale, I'll pick it up. Otherwise, no. If the 360 version gets cheap, or I have a spare 1200 around, I may buy it there; but I'd rather Rock Band Blitz / Trials Evolution first.
Putting Amy in would fuck up her Sonic Adventure intro unless III has Metal Sonic again and takes place on Little Planet.
So I'm going to disband this rumors with pure skill among other things. Spoiler I beat the Final Boss using Super Sonic. If you have any doubts here is my Steam Achievements for Sonic 4: Episode II After beating the Final Boss it just gave the normal ending. The Light you all saw from Beta 8 files is the Time Attack screen I'm doubting there's any secret ending at all. They may have planned it at one point but perhaps they later removed it.
Any tips for the super sonic hit on the final boss other than memorizing his attack pattern and don't get hit?
Ok that explains the White spotlight, but what about the red one? and what of the mysterious sound effects file and 'TO BE CONTINUED' asset that was found in Beta 8? are they still in there in the final? Also, can someone get me a music rip from the final version?
I'm suspecting episode metal debunks the having to rebuild excuse for episode 1. After watching the videos and playing epsiode 1 along side them, here are the results: Mad Gear act 1: 98% Layout match. most changes equate to messing around in Debug mode Lost Labyrinth act 1: 98% Layout match. most changes equate to messing around in Debug mode Casino Street act 1: 95% Layout match. most changes equate to messing around in Debug mode, Metal has a new pinball start Splash Hill Act 1: 98% Layout match. most changes equate to messing around in Debug mode conclusion: somebody please finish making episode Metal as it currently equates to nearly 1/4th of ep1 fixed. in comparison to Knuckles in Sonic 2: weak. only 4 acts out of 17 covered. (Includes boss stages)
Using Tails' Flying Combo is your best bet. Just take your time... that's really it. I actually plan on uploading a video once the game is released on the 360. (720p rendered as 1080p vs 480p) Also, apparently Super Sonic deals double damage on bosses. As for the red light, I'll try Time Attack Multiplayer or something. Also, what Sound Effect are you talking about? What does it sound like? EDIT: Also, that co-op video is finally up on Youtube It's pretty enjoyable, mostly Zone 4 Act 1. The True test of teamwork and input lag!
So Episode Metal uses identical stage designs, with (near) identical gameplay...? Does Metal Sonic even use Ep II physics? Given than I only pirated the beta, I've yet to try out Episode Metal. Getting the PSN release now. I must say, it's a shame they didn't at least build some authentic short-cuts in the stages, ala S3&K, but I guess that's too much to expect from post DC Sega. :/
Yes, Episode: Metal does use Sonic 4: Episode II's physics. It's not actual DLC since the data is already on Episode II.
Some later pirate release had Metal Unloacked. Can't say Metal Sonic uses EP2 physics but there is no more uncurling and he doesn't drop like a rock that crushed into a wall.
I think Oil Desert should be renamed DIMPS zone. Other than that, the game is solid, and is quite the improvement over episode 1. I can hope they continue that upward momentum if they release a episode III.
So I own Episode 1 and 2 on Steam, but Episode Metal is nowhere to be found. I don't need to beat Episode 2 to unlock it do I?
