Uh so I'm keeping a watch on FixSonic4E2 on YouTube and he has an icon up on his profile now - so a video is coming, I suppose. No matter what it is (faked or not), keep an eye out for the video if one pops up and find a way to download it immediately, just in case. EDIT: "Video"'s up and looks really fake, lol.
That video is SO real. Great attention to detail, perfect font. Love all the actual in in-game screenshots too. Damn. Sega is going to take that video down in seconds!
EDIT: Dangit. Um, yeah, that's not real. At all. Not like there was any question, but yeah, he could have at least attempted to make the cryptic clock piece look like it belonged. The whole thing is too dark compared to zone.
I kind of want to recreate this failed attempt at a hoax just because of the painful typography. The kerning in "Cryptic" bugs the heck out of me.
I know it's pretty obvious that just about every claim of S4:E2 is fake (besides Balough's, of course), but why can't we just kill the rumors by having someone from here get on PartnerNET and prove there's nothing there?
So, yeah. The guy who had the account was trolling, although he said he wasn't the one who originally sent the Email.
Far too many pages for me to read here just to chime in. Downloaded the iPhone version the other night and tried it out. Found the gameplay to be a bit awkward compared to the original Genesis series (even when played on the iPhone). There is still the emphasis on speed, rather than getting rings and killing badniks. Really not enjoying speeding along and running right into unseen badniks with no chance to kill them.
This was the only great thing to come out of this. I'm sure we'll never see anything like this happen, but you have to admit that is IS a neat concept!
What are you smoking and where can I get some? *runs* Will admit to it being an interesting concept, though I'm curious as to how they'd make it work if they actually did something like that
It's not interesting, it's lame. It's basically a 2D version of the wind from Sonic Riders, and even then they had stupid hoverboards. Why 2D Sonic could or should ever grind on turbulence left behind by a badnik is beyond me. Also consider how this would be useful or fun, or how it would actually work. Surely you'd end up speeding in to the badnik.
Those fake screen-videos had started a fad about making pointless zone names and videos! I find them hilariously funny http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51VJgTqpX5I http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3XpgCx4xx-g
So that site that shall not be named is reporting some rumors of their own now about Episode 2. 1. The physics have been dramatically improved, their source says they're even better than the Classic Sonic physics in Generations. 2. The overall look of the game has a considerably less glossy feeling now. Sonic losing his gloss in the newly released version of Ep. 1 makes this sound pretty credible too. Guess we won't know for sure until the 29th!
What could be considered here, is that the 'rolling' grind from Generations would be used. This way, one would roll into and thus defeat the enemy. However, as this is would be very much overly complicated for just a badnik, it could work great as a boss fight, provided they use another running battle. .......Unless said badnik some special boss robot not piloted be Eggman himself (since it could be considered a badnik). As for how it could work, the Eggman robot Sonic is chasing would give off 3 jet stream/turbulence streams, which also occasionally give off 3 mini-twisters simultaneously, that move down each stream toward Sonic at different speeds Airman Style. The player would jump from stream to stream to dodge these, and eventually roll into the robot to cause damage. Baseless Speculation aside, since the youtube user was fake, I'm oddly very curious about what the guy who sent the letter was going to 'show'. I'm also a bit bothered by the fact that we barely have been given any information on Episode 2 for almost 1.5 years since the release of E1, or that any info hasn't been even rumoured to be 'leaked' until recently in all of this time...
Uh-huh... This person would have to work at SEGA for these to be true since the game isn't up on PartnerNET or Sony's thing.
Sware to god the first trailer should be just showcasing the physics of Episode 2. that way all this guesswork will come to an end :v:
