Sonic 3 Life Savers?

Holy shit...I remember some of that "Rings" here in Uruguay long long time ago..1997?... I never seen one of them again...

 

When I was a child I had a Sonic waistcoat and bow tie (don't ask). It had Spring Yard Zone all over it.
Tried to find an image on google but I have the feeling that I'm probably the only person to actually admit to ever owning one.

 

Crappy merchandise meant to be bought by people who will buy anything with Sonic's face on it?
Gee, this sounds like a precursor to SEGA today.

On a related note, when I was in 5th grade (about 5 years ago) and I lived in El Paso, Texas (which is a border town, right by Juarez, Mexico) there was a Ice Cream truck broken down by my school, and everyday when I got out of school I'd buy a Sonic popsicle thing. It was of Sonic's head, pre-Adventure song, and was very tasty.

 

If either of you who mentioned it still have any of those lifesavers, I'd really like a pack of them. Just let me know how much.

I totally used to have one of those Sonic balls.

 

Oh, so there were official artists in the US capable of drawing Sonic in a non ugly way (referring to the top image). Why couldn't he have looked like that on the game's box?

 

That drawing is like a combination of the best of both the American and Japanese art. But instead we get to suffer through Ass face Sonic for like 6 different games.

 

That looks a hell of a lot like the Sonic Spinball GG art Sonic, incidentally.


That box art is amusing because I think the Sonic does look better, but Robotnik just looks... wrong.

 

Speaking of posters, I once saw this one particular poster in some shop, featuring Sonic standing in the midst of a Blue Spheres map. For 20 seconds I wanted it more than anything in the world, but my mother wouldn't have any of that, and I never saw anything quite like it ever again. Anyone else ever encounter this poster? Anyone want to send one to me?

Mom wouldn't buy me that pair of sneakers with the Sonic & Knuckles emblem on the sides, either. When the time comes, she's going straight to the nursing home.

 

I totally had the sonic birthday party.

Had Sonic gum dispensers too... Don't know what happened to those.

 

Hey, the US art is better than the damn shitty europe art.

 

I definetly had those, I think they even came with a plastic keychain with Sonic 3 art.
