Sonic 3 Life Savers?

I use to see those "sonic X-treme" ice creams all the time, they've since been replaced with the "Sonic Adventure" ones instead. Though the ice cream is exactly the same, the only difference is the wrapper. =P

 

I used to eat that pasta a long time ago...

 

I have a box of the LifeSavers Hot Rings still, haha. I also have the Game Gear gum thing. I haven't eaten one of the hot rings packages in like 10 years though. Dunno if they are still good.

 

This image is on that sonicgear website. Notice anything? Maybe the "Let's get Blueballs!"? Anyone remember this?

 

WoW! That's an amazing find! But why in their right mind would a store be SELLING that? Talk about health code violation. The only thing I'd want to consume from 1993 would be a bottle of wine! I had the GG gum at one point to. My mom got it for me for Valentine's day a LONG ass time ago.

Speaking of Sonic Gear, I used to have Sonic shoes and a cuople of t-shirts. I got a Sonic shirt a couple of years ago from JCPenney and still whear it today!

I remember I used to eat the Sonic pasta all the time when it was available... back in like '94/'95 and when they re-released it around either SA or SA2. I also had the GG gum packs with trading cards and game tips. I remember I only got Spinball cards. I also had that Sonic the Hedgehog costume for years. I never did grow into that damn thing.... we only got rid of it maybe 4 years ago, haha. I might've seen the Sonic Life Savers at the grocery store as a kid but I never ate Life Savers to begin with, so I wouldn't have been interested in it then. They also sold those Sonic X-Treme ice cream pops for-fucking-ever. I remember when they came out, too. When I lived in NY, one of my neighbors was the ice cream man and he would have his truck parked in his driveway. Every day, when I went down to wait for the school bus to pick me up, I would check out the decals on his truck and see what new flavors he had. Then when I moved to Georgia, I saw the Sonic pops advertised at a Bruster's shop and another local ice cream parlor. They had the X-Treme ones around probably until Sonic Heroes came out. Then they changed it to look like the new Sonic and advertised it as Sonic Adventure or Heroes or whatever.

I really miss eating that Sonic pasta. That was like the coolest fucking thing ever as a kid -- eating your favorite food in the shape of your favorite character. Fucking paradise. Also, it just brings nostalgia to me. Eating Sonic-shaped pasta defines how my childhood was: fucking awesome. The only way they could've beat it for me would have been if they made a Sonic the Hedgehog cereal (unless they did somewhere and I never knew).

 

Honey nut cheerios? It's kinda like gold rings...

 

Looks like lucky charms, and, the worst shaped food was the shaped Kraft Macaroni & Cheese. They charged the same price and the box only held about half as much pasta, and took longer to cook, it was not just me who was dissappointed, so were all my friends, the shapes were cool, but, we were all like "we get so little, what a gyp"

 

HAY GUYZ!!

 

So, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who thinks that.

 

Lol, Sonic shaped stuff. That stuff is obviously made for kids, I dunno how you could be nostalgic to things such as those which are obviously made to milk and to capitalize on franchises. I mean, about Sonic, I like the classic games. Not stupid stuff such as those overpriced gimmicks.
And, while it's nice to unearth such old merchandise, unless it were "Sonic" wine, I would have sued that guy's ass so much.
Seeing such old to-be-eaten stuff still sold is very ridicolous, still Sonic 3? Oh my.
And yeah, I tend coming into topics this way :P
