Sonic 3 & Knuckles: The Challenges

I can do that too, yes. But I prefer to do 2+2 and 2+2 because I'm much more comfortable with that. By trying to deal too many hits I increase the chances to screw it up.

 

I've found that if you keep to the left for the first round and the right for the second, SMS will never divebomb you, instead going straight to firing his orbs. You can get an extra hit in really easily by charging a spindash right where he will land - this also gets you in position to hit him over by the emerald. I'm not sure five is a good idea though as doesn't that make him move to his second phase where it's more difficult to hit him? That might be six hits though. Also for the second boss in FB1, you should be able to get in three hits at the start of the battle before his pattern becomes unpredictable.

 

The way the black Knuckles behaved is how the fight in the normal S3K/S&K should have been always. Anybody willing to put that into the normal game? Because I seriously find lame being able to beat Knuckles before he can even attempt to move.

 

So I ask again, any chance for there being a S3K hack that is the same as the original game except for that improvement in Knuckles' AI? That'd be cool.
