    Well progress is going along nicely, some more bosses has been edited, HCZ is about finish just some fine tuning and I have started to work on MGZ.
    Anyway I just posted to ask for some opinions on some new stuff.

    Firstly I have tried to edit some of the music in the game (Thanks to Tweaker for his music guide), might try import some later but here is a sample of AIZ2.

    Some new palettes I would like feedback on:

    ^ This one feels a lot better than the old once.
    I went for more for an evening theme in this one.

    ^ A picture of the HPZ palette.
    One note about HPZ, it is completely ring-less right now since it is so small, going to see how this works out in the beta.


    And another look at some difficult arenas:

    Unlike the Sonic 2 one this tend to flatten you alot more, hehe.

    Oh and one more thing, still thinking of a name for the hack, so far I have come up with "S3&K Hard Version" or "S3&K Master Edition".
    Which do you like most? (Suggestions for a name is also welcome).

    Well done, I like the palettes, and I'm sure I'll love the amped up difficulty. I like S3K's features, but I've played the levels to death, and they got boring. =P

    Thanks for all the comments, hack is now named "S3&K Master Edition", Will edit first post when/if I get member status.

    Well I'm working hard on it, I expect a demo/beta in 1-3 weeks, want to have Marble Garden Zone complete in the release.

    Currently some fine tuning on AIZ and HCZ is left and the layout for MGZ.

    Master Edition seems like an apropriate name for it since you'll have to be a master at Sonic gameplay to finish this and maybe even then you'll have a low success ratio finishing it.

    That's why I'm so waiting for this hack. I really want to see how the Game Over screen looks like at least once in my life... I've been beating Sonic games since I was 6 (Sonic 1 for Game Gear).

    Was thinking of that, Sunset Island maybe due to the sunset theme in act 1.

    Don't think that will be in the first release thought.

    Don't mean to bump but just wanted to get some opinions on some stuff and inform about current progress.
    I been working very hard and allot on the hack, it got a little delayed due to some real life stuff that came up, release is expected mid/end February hopefully.

    I been working on editing some of the art in the game, here are some pictures:

    ^ Knuckles version of the waterfall task from first post, hehe.

    ^ Another boss edit, fires almost instantly after appearing and starts flying upwards leaving little time to hit him on, also fires 3 missiles on Knuckles.

    ^ Palette update to AIZ1, now also with altered waterfall and water flashes in the background to fit the dusk mood.

    This is most likely the last update before the first release, working allot on it so I hope I will be done with beta release 1 in February.

    Don't change anything, it's perfect! The palettes look very interesting, and the difficulty will be a challenge now. Yay.
