https://www.candb.com/en/article/90/sonic-the-hedgehog-25th-anniversary-art-book.html Cook & Becker makes good shit so this should be good
Considering how much Cook & Becker's stuff usually costs and how big this book looks, I don't think the price would be that appealing anymore if it was a part of it. :v:
I'm in love. I really enjoy books like this (I got the Battle Network one and I thoroughly enjoyed looking though it and reading all the commentary by the creators and artists). As soon as we can preorder, I'll be doing so.
Wincing at how much this thing might cost but I've been wanting something like this for a long time. Can't wait.
Sonic CD sketch on the cover says all I need to know. Gonna be pricey but this is something I've wanted in forever.
Loving the sound of this, and I'm especially looking forward to seeing what the special edition version looks like.
Well damn, and here I told myself I wouldn't buy any more artbooks after blowing too much on the Rockman Zero complete works... Well, better make some room for this on the bookshelf! Anyone got a rough idea of price? Prepared to pay as much as it costs tbh but can't hurt to prepare the wallet for dents in advance
Sweet! Maybe we'll finally get the missing artwork for the Mystic Cave Zone mouse. And one of the Sonic Chaos bosses was missing from the manual, right? Crossing my fingers for design sketches of Sonic 2 and Sonic & Knuckles' Mecha Sonics.
Well the only other art book they put out is this Killzone one, which is $50 for the standard edition and $130 for the collector's edition (which comes in special packaging and includes a hand numbered giclee print of concept art). So expect it to be around that price.
Awesome. I was thinking last week that if others like Mega Man had art books, Sonic would be a shoo-in. $50~ doesn't sound bad at all either.
Yeah, this sounds really cool. Will probably opt for the special edition. I'm gonna be spending a lot of money on Sonic stuff next year! XD
That looks fantastic. Will have to see how much we in the UK eventually get gouged on the price between traditional ripoff Britain & the currency nosediving =P
Cook & Becker seem to be pretty good at pricing stuff correctly. Like that $50 Killzone book I mentioned earlier costs €43 here and £32 in the UK. Also they're Dutch so they ship from within Europe anyway.
If this is what I want it to be, I'll pay ANY PRICE. But can we get some interviews from artists that aren't Kazuyuki Hoshino and Yuji Uekawa for once?
