But seriously, that is fucking sweet. This project keeps looking better and better by the day, and if this music keeps up this high standard of quality as well, this is going to be one of the best, most original projects to come out of here in a long time. I'm honestly really looking forward to this.

Moving away from the subject of music, I've got some more sprites to show.
This time it's Sonic, the one and only.
As you can see, he looks a lot more like his 16-bit counterpart. He's so happy he can't stop running.
    I've also done walking sprites.

All sprites are based off a Sonic 1/2 hybrid I used for an age old palette/art hack of mine. No resizing, these were all drawn completely (except where a minor edit of the original ms sprites was enough) by hand.
Comments and constructive criticism are very welcome. These are supposed to be as close to perfection as possible.

As usual, these sprites have already been put in a rom for testing and tile data is available if needed.
If you like these I will of course draw more.

    All the bitches.
Now that you brought those out, I need to get my ass into gear, and do custom Tails sprites, to match the 16 bit ones.

EDIT: When I shrunk the S2 16-bit sprite next to the S2 8-bit spite, I noticed they match almost exactly, except shading. D:

    EDIT2:[IMG]
    WIP standing frame.

    Mine left, S2 8-bit right.

Anyway I can help? I'm pretty good with backgrounds, and I've had an intrested in the 8-Bit games ever since I played them. I've made a Emerald Hill Background as an example.

    Sonic Adventure: Grounded
@MoDule: Those look really good, apart from the walking sprites looking more like Sonic 1.

@Polygon Jim: The hair seems to be missing from your Tails. Lookin' good, though.

EDITNOTE: These are entirely my opinions. >_>

EDIT2 @BlackHole: I touched up the islands. Hope you don't mind :objection:

You have no idea how much grief this small change caused me. But I learnt a few things in the process, so it's all good.
Still got to get the new picture in yet.

MoDule: I hadn't considered changing the sonic sprite, but those are too good to leave out.

Polygon Jim: Ignore what I said about remaining faithful to the original tails sprites, just go for it.

BlackHole: Excellent. Not sure about the island. I know it's faithful to the original 8-bit graphics, but how about something more like the 16-bit island. And How about some foreground stuff?

Looking good, but despite how good the fade effect looks, you should have clouds off the water.

I don't know how to use Mod2Psg2, but here is my contribution, if someone wants to put it in Mod2Psg2. I will submit an ARZ like this one very soon.

Also I know that the noise channel sounds like shit, deal with it, I don't know how to make the correct noises, I hope this can be fixed in the Mod2Psg2 process.

More sprites. Also new pallete. Uses Sonic's skin tones, to make him more orange.

Off topic abit, why why did you choose to call it Project: H? Unless there is something behind it, it would be like if they called Megamix "Project: Penis". >_>

    Working on my art!
I'm guessing that H stands for Hybridization, which in this case is combining Sonic 2 Genesis and Master System.

Firstly, it's Project: H' (aitch prime)

It's a continuation of the The Original Project H: Sonic 2 - The Hybridisation Project

It's a re-imagining of the same idea, like Metroid and Metroid Prime.

    And it's only a working title. =P

Puto helped me to make a better CNZ mockup. The notes are the same, but it now uses better noise and square waves.

I also made a mockup for ARZ: it uses Puto's good square waves, but I didn't know what to do with the noise, because of the claps and toms.

Again, those XMs are up for everyone who knows how to use Mod2Psg2.
    muteKi, I'm looking at you.

    edit: fixed second CNZ link

The link to your second mock up of CNZ is broken.
