Definately continue along with that "stole'd" (right) one. Matches with the S3 sprites and looks more professional - the other one is way too plain and empty-looking. If you're going to do just solid text, I suggest using larger, more detailed and stylized fonts... And then of course, you could always be a jack of all trades and let the player choose. =P

I almost forgot about this one :P Very nice. The music is surprisingly fitting towards Scrap Brain zone.

Damn. I hate to bash here, but with all the new music and such, it felt like a new game... at first,then I see gameplay. Sonic 1 with new level layout, but same exact graphics. Is this gonna be anything new at all besides the music and Sonic 3 sprite? It's hard to get hyped about something I've seen everyone else do already...
I guess it's too much to ask for a WHOLE new game. Kinda just what I've been looking for for awhile, and always have to ask if any hack is going to go anywhere beyond the game they;re already building over.
Just wondering :P

 

It's Sonic 1 Remastered. The whole point of the game is that it is still the original Sonic 1, but with new graphics, moves, characters, and music.

 

Well, even though it's not completely new, I'll still check it out whenever it gets another release. Hope it turns out good

 

I think it would be good idea to have a choice in the menu for what tittle card to show (Remastered, S1, S2, S3K).

At least in my opinion seems to fit more the original S3K style.

 

Don't use green man, it's just to tell you the area with the changed color. Man, that drawing is 64x128 :P

EDIT: made them all :P Anyways, they're just a reference, make the art from scratch.

 

Any plan on possibly porting the Sonic 3 and Knuckles save screen to this game? IMO the Sonic and Miles background and Sonic 2 level selects are overdone.
