Been digging through about 1TB worth of old game magazines I have and I discovered images that I hadn't seen on the wiki or better and cleaner images of current ones. http://I.imgur.com/HXcP3.png ps. hope u all die
Nice to see you too, Phugolz. Regardless of your attitude, we thank you for your contribution. you can now go back to the dark depths of the internet now. EDIT: What is with all this S1 Proto talk lately? really odd how everything has been connecting lately.
Maybe if I say 'man I hope someone finds a betaa' the Sega gods will hear me and reveal delicious ROMs to us. Thanks Phugolz (Faggolz)
Hey man I showered like twice this morning, I prefer the term faggoty sonic fan with aspergers Always good to see new info surface. Kind of weird seeing that ball floating in the air, I don't think I've ever seen a scan of it where its not on the ground
So, it seems like these new screens, dating from 1990, have just been discovered in an old Beep Magazine: The video in question: If somebody could please scan them, we would be eternally grateful.
I emailed Chris Covell, as I know he's got some old BEEP! Megadrive issues, just not sure if he has Aug 1990. I know he has the June issue, and he has at least one issue between July and September inclusive, as this page indicates (note the style of the Gaiares preview as compared to the previews found in this NEW RELEASE SCRAMBLE).
Wow, just how many magazines did you have to finger through to find those? How many magazines are in a TB anyway too subtle?
Don't think I've seen one of the actual ball being used before. That's interesting. If not, at least not in the air! I'm wondering how it physically would have moved, whether it would have bounced or something. How cool. Also, I LOVE faggots! Tasty, meaty faggots.
From that screenshot, considering several rings behind Sonic are still sitting in their correct place, I can only draw the assumption that the player could not only run the ball along the ground, but jump with it too. Could be wrong, though.
Got mail back from Chris, he pointed me to this page which documents the JP magazines he owns with cover scans. He doesn't own 08/1990, but he has 06/1990 and 09/1990 (which I don't think are useful and most certainly wouldn't have those same screenshots).
