Sonic 1 GBA

I thought Sonic the Hedgehog was already released on the Game Boy Advance with Sega Smash Pack. I'm probably wrong.

Edit: Oh nevermind, it was Spinball.

 

Last time I checked sonic 1 was 20mins long, Why are you able to save? :P

 

What? Sonic is a lot longer then that. Your just enjoying it too much.

They could also be putting save in for youngsters that can't play that well. My friend can't finish it and his 17.

 

Sometimes I just get bored around Labyrinth Zone, and while there's always level select, the emeralds are annoying.

 

Average time w/o emeralds ~1:30 minutes x 19 levels = 28:30 minutes
Average time with emeralds ~1:30 minutes x (19 levels + 6 emeralds) = 37:30 minutes

And that's not going as fast as possible, as there's most levels that can be done in less than 1 minute.

 

And Then Sonic 2 is about 30mins and S3K is 1Hour 20mins. =P

But on topic: Does it say when its going to be released?

 

Well, it makes a difference in time if you're playing PAL or NTSC, doesn't it? Half an hour sounds right to me though (for average on NTSC anyway)

Sonic 2 takes longer then 30 minutes for the average person to complete me thinks, but then again, I'm no expert when it comes to time attacking this game.



As for the release date, I'm not really sure, maybe I'm thinking of something else, but november rings a bell for some reason when I think of Sonic 1 GBA. I could have sworn I read it somewhere, but I just can't remember where :/

It's a mobile game. Hence GBA - no one shits for more than 8 minutes.

 

Gasp. How dare they add a savegame feature. How thoughtless.

And while the subject is still relevant, I can usually beat Sonic 2 in about 25 mins.

 

I just hope they add more new stuff to justify going out and spending 20 bucks on it. Maybe an option to play the game in both classic Genesis mode and a "GBA Remix" mode, with GBA-styled graphics and the features that came with it. I know I'm probably being mentally bricked by several people for mentioning the GBA Sonics, but I think it would be cool to be running through the level and then breaking the sound barrier. (Or whatever it was in the GBA games that caused you to run super-fast and leave after-images after running for a certain amount of time)

 

I got the last emerald in Sonic Advance while taking a dump. =D

Moving away from the Bathroom...

I support Andy's idea. It would be cool to have alternate versions, but I think It will support a 7th Emerald and the Super Sonic feature. What all Sonic games lack nowadays is the Ability to go Super Sonic once you collect the 7 Emeralds and 50 rings.

 

I will only get it if it has more than just a port of Sonic Jam's Sonic 1 with scaled down graphics. What's so good about a save feature? As far as I know, there isn't a GBA cart in existence that doesn't have a battery and save feature. At the very least, Tails must be playable. Otherwise, portable or not, Sonic Mega Collection still costs less (I got mine new for $14).

 

Screw these collection and rereleases. If you want to play Sonic 1, bust out your Genesis
