    Wii Virtual Console exhibits the same sound glitch on the signpost as Gens, so it's not quite perfect. :P

    I probably should get back to work on my site someday...
    Hey guyz! I think I found something. So I beat the original mode with all the emeralds and unlocked all the SFX for the game. It looks like they're confused. On some it says unused when in fact they are, but there's others that are listed as used but I never hear in the game. Take for instance, SE 9 entitled "Timeslip". Is it just me or is this from Sonic CD? Here's a savestate so you can listen to it for yourself.

    EDIT: On second thought, is that the sound used when you enter or exit the special stage?

    EDIT2: Also noticed while I was playing, they cleaned up the messed up frame up the spinning hedgehog robot enemy or whatever it is in Spring Yard. Also, in the ending music, they use different instruments for the zones like in Marble Zone's clip they don't use that annoying harmonica sound.

    Sadly, that's because they were too lazy to change the instruments used throughout that song - all the songs were modified to fit the same instrument set (5, I believe) so that they didn't have to do massive instrument switching in-song. Laziness at its worst.

    I probably should get back to work on my site someday...
    So I went back and played the special stage and that Timeslip sound isn't used. But the sound used when you get a continue is used even though it says unused in the Sound Test. Maybe they were gonna implement time travel like they were going to with Sonic 1 in the first place *shot*

    EDIT: So I guess the SFX are pretty much lined up with the Genesis SE 1 on GBA = A0, SE2=A1, etc.... So SE 9=A8. It is the sound used when you leave a special stage like on Sonic 3, but just sounds a lot different on the GBA

    What other Genesis version is there? Unless you were referring to revision 01, in which case, it's probably revision 00.

    An interesting bug: If you spin-dash and then jump straight away without pressing right, you can get a very high speed. Examples here and here.

    I have a deep question for everyone though. If this game were cancelled at say 90 percent done would this game be fondly remembered the way Sonic (suck)xtreme is? My guess is it would.
