Sonic 1 GBA

  1. That's odd; I entered both into Google just now and neither one came up with a "did you mean [x]" statement. In addition, clicking the "Definition" button brings up the following: "a?dapt?er also a?dap?tor." Apparently although they both look wrong, they are both right.

And Sonic 1 GBA? I want to see how much it differs from Sonic 1 Genesis before deciding whether to buy it or not.

I'm not buying it. I don't want to have the same game on so many different platforms, and I don't want to buy an edited Sonic 1.

I'll download it. Shows how much I care for Sonic. =P

But in all seriousness, I do technically already own the game, so it's not illegal. =P Besides, hacking a Sonic 1 Advance would be pretty easy, unless they use new compression algorithms on the objects, levels, art, blah blah blah.

I'm just kind of suprised they decided to do this now at the end of the GBA's life span. It would have made more sense to start earlier on and release all three of the sega games. At least, it would have to me anyways

I don't think the GBA's lifespan is ending yet. Even with the DS GBA's are still selling strong. Anyway I'll probably get this But it'll seem too short just being Sonic 1. It would have been better if it was a collection.

    Another cheap, knock-off repackage.
Instead of getting new talent or re-releasing games that deserve attention (Knuckles Chaotix, Rez) they continue to recycle lame Genesis games.
This isn't somehow a present to Sonic fans, it's an insult. To be released especially for Sonic's 15th? Screw it. If it was a BRAND NEW Sonicgame in the style of the Genesis games or a 3D remake of the Game Gear games, we might be taking worthyness.
And where is our Vectorman & Ristar 3D sequels plz

Vectorman for PS2 got the can.

You know I'd buy this regardless just because it has Sonic in it.

    I don't consider Sonic 1 a "lame genesis game."
I for one have always wanted to play through Sonic 1 with spindash. Saving semed like too much of a pipe-dream.

Sure, it's possible with ROM hacking, but it's cool that Sega actually did this. And I'm guranteed that the game will be FUN.

    It's not all bad. =P

edit: This proves they have just as much "talent" as we do making edis to older Sonic games. (Well, they've still got a long way to go before they're at our level!)

'll be getting this game. Not with money though.

I have actually wanted Sonic 1 for the GBA or DS for a while now. It's not like they aren't putting effort into this. They have to port the entire game, and that is quite a task. (however, Lost still beat them to it. why did he leave anyway? ;_:thumbsup:

Ah, but the Genesis didn't have spindash or a saving ability like the Saturn had! What now!?

Nothing that concerns this place in the least.
The way the buttons are layed out on the Saturn controller isn't too different from how they're layed out on a Genesis controller, so I'm sure that it probably has the exact same feeling.

Meh, they keep rereleasing Sonic 1 like if it's the best thing since french toast. Did the thought that people will eventually get bored of it ever occur to their minds?

I've always wanted a proper portable Classic Sonic so I'll get this but if they released Sonic 2 on the GBA or DS, I'd be much more than happy.

Useless Squabbling. Don't start that crap here.

That is also known as Postcount+1

On another Note, Which is on topic, I will be buying this game just because I can finally take 16-bit Sonic with me, instead of the Advance series (coincidentaly, I fopund my S-Advance 2 today).
