    oh. I don't know new Sonic games very well, apart from Rivals 2.
    Also: you know how Scrab Brain was before it's release, "Clock Ork"? I think a Clockwork zone would be pretty rad, think of the part near the climax of Castle of Cagliostro(If you've seen it) where Lupin's jumping around the big cogs, with guys chasing him, and stairs crumbling.

    I DONE MAKED GAMES.
    (Yeah, I read your spoiler. Neat.)

    I actually imagined a sort of Art Deco metropolis, slowly sinking into lava (using a background layer - with some lava forced to the foreground - moving slowly up), and stuff catching fire and all that. Mainly because I want to hear a sort of drum 'n' bass meets jazz and blues tune for the accompaniment, and Markey could probably pull it all off. ;)

  3. A level inspired by American McGee's Alice (but without the grimdark) would be awesome.

    Once of the zones I wanted to do in an old hack project I had when I was first starting out was Great Turquoise Genesisized, but the added twist was everything was upside down. You know, basically the GHZ/EHZ level but upside down. You can fall through hills but cannot jump back up though them. Everything would have been done by moving sprite platforms and save areas. Their would be a cloud layer on the very bottom of the level that was solid in case you feel and you would have to treck backwards to a series of springs/cannons at certain points that shot you straight up (without letting you move left or right in the air) so you could try again. These cannonsprings would be high enough on left side that you couldn't reach them coming from the right, but stairs on the right side so you can reach them coming from the left. I should draw a basic diagram in chance I ever want to use the idea again.

    Also, I remember a thread on Retro that was talking about a hypothetical Genesis port/hack that would mimic Sonic Triple Trouble.

    So Chess Zone?

  5. I was thinking more along the lines of Surreal Void Zone

    Now that you think about it, what about a modern Amercian city, but abandoned and a tropical jungle grew over it? Similar to that "Life After People" show on the History Channel.

    What about a flooded ice palace?

    I'm suddenly reminded of that headquarters made of ice from one of the 007 movies; I think it was "The World is Not Enough". I always thought something like that would make a neat Sonic level.

    *gasp* What if that were Robotnik's base? That would actually be the first time an ice level was used for Robotnik's hideout! Call it "Chiller Central Zone", or something cool like that.

    Forget Sunset Park; do Robotnik Winter Zone then.

    Clock Work Zone, complete with Medusa heads that knock you to the bottom of the level or kill you just to piss you off.

    Hey, a train zone, now that's a good idea!
    You could simply make a Megadrive version of Sunset Park or Rail Canyon or Bullet Station from Sonic Heroes.

    Also, an ice-themed zone please ^^

    These two ideas really grab my attention right now and are fantastic, yet I was hoping for ideas on a Carnival/RollerCoaster/Pinball/Casino type of zone (I should really pay attention more).

    Now here's a little list of zones which are in right now (Just so you're up to date):

    Zone 1 - Emerald Island Zone
    * (A tropical paradise of sorts (What you'd expect in a sonic game))
    Zone 2 - Cathedral Palace Zone
    * (Not exactly sure what kind this is, the closest zone that's similar to it would be Hydro City Zone from Sonic 3)
    Zone 3 - EMPTY SLOT
    * (Was Sring Yard Zone)
    Zone 4 - Secret Ocean Zone
    * (A water based level with a beautiful nightly full moon (In the middle of the ocean with islands in the distance)
    Zone 5 - Neon Tokyo Zone
    * (A zone inspired by the concept drawing by Mercury, this would probably end up fitting the theme of a fast speed level, not sure though)
    Zone 6 - EMPTY SLOT
    * (Was Scrap Brain Zone)

    So basically what we have here is two blank slots, and I mean they are litterally blank (Including all the objects deleted):

    So I'd like to make sure that if a zone's going in there, then it's done right. The zone ideas above seem to use special effects such as lava rising or ice melting with floods, now as much as those ideas are great, I'd like to point out that I want to keep the zones relitively basic in terms of effects (Nothing to classy), I'd like BroTro to stay feeling like S1/S2 in terms of style and effects, that's not to say I wont stray over to something more shocking, but I'd like to minimize that as I said before that I don't wanna work on this forever. I think that the two player feature that's being worked on with a few other special things which are planned in the menus, will be effective enough.

    Thanks for the feedback so far, you guys certainly have brilliant ideas (You should all make a single game yourselves =P)

    If you make the Art Deco zone all jazzy and crazy, it could be like the "bouncy" zone for the game - the same way Music Plant takes up that slot in Advance 2. "Hot Funk Zone"? :v:

    And the flooded ice palace might make a good dramatic denouement. After all, the OVA climaxes in the arctic.

    Well yeah, if you were waiting for ideas for a Carnival/RollerCoaster/Pinball/ zone, you should take a look at the Circus zone topic in the Sonic Retro project, there's a lot of concept arts in there that could help figure how to make a good level. Plus, it would be perfect for a replacement of Spring Yard.
