Sonic 1 Brother Trouble

I've always loved that Goemon track, BTW. I didn't know there was an OST, I'm gonna have to check it out now.

For lulz, I thought I should point out that when I came up with the stage I had thought that OMD's Enola Gay would be the music. Neon Tokyo was part of a whole game set on Earth (which, from my SatAM upbringing, was a change for Sonic), and each zone had a popular Earthling song as its BGM.

But I'm sure whatever MarkeyJester's got picked out will be great.

 

What about a DragonBall Theme Zone? Something that I think Sonic Team (DragonBall (Lovers) Z (story cloners)) should have done. Or a good DragonBall music theme at least for one Zone?

 

Route 99 from Sonic Advance 3 might possibly fit in with the level... Just need to tweak it a bit I guess...

 

Hmm, Sky Babylon from SRA and Route 99 from SA3 are both good ideas for that level.

 

How about the tornado chase from Sonic 06? That just screams speed and 'RUN'

 

....or an original tune that's not heard before... :P

 

That's actually something I'd like to hear more of in fan hacks/games. All the remixes are nice but new tracks would give a unique atmosphere to the games, there must be a good few creative musicians on board here that can cook up some new Sonic-like tracks.

 

It would be so awesome if somebody already sent him an original composition which was fairly modern sounding AND oriental at a nice fast pace... :3

+ - I sent Markey a tune Tweaker and I collaborated on, which I'd like to hear used.  

 

Dude, that's amazing! The music absolutely blowed me away, and the co-op action is hella solid. Fantastic work!

The badniks are original in design, and the new boss design blew me away. This hack is definitely expanding in amazing ways. :D

You're definitely doing some amazing stuff. I love it.

From watching the video, I have one minor suggestion. When you get to a boss stage, I feel like it shouldn't play boss music right at the beginning, when there's no boss. Perhaps there should be nonchalant but suspense-building music, with the regular boss music kicking in as soon as you encounter Eggman.

Maybe it's just me; it just felt slightly awkward having boss music play the whole way.

But other than that, I don't really have any issues. This hack continues to stand out in front of the rest, in my eyes.

 

That music, and that layout they all fit really good!
The remix of emerald hill zone and that perfectly well done level design are simply FABULOUS.
The way manic comes down using a flying board, makes me think what kind of double jump move manic would have.
By 68k do you mean its an AI and not a netplay? I still cant wait to see netplay works somewhere.

 

Thank you for making that Emerald Island boss more tolerable -- and the boss is fantastic! I also love the Emerald Island music; it deviates so much from Emerald Hill that it could be its own tune. I also love that you've put new Badniks into the game (something rarely seen in hacks), though I feel like the designs could still use a little refinement; if you want, I could help with the Badnik designs when I've got spare time, and even help design some new ones for you. Manic following Sonic Tails-style with the hoverboard was a very nice touch, by the way.

This is looking to be a phenomenal game overall. Two thumbs up, dude!

 

The Chaotix Combi ring isn't really that much fun, even in Chaotix. This is much cooler.
